I don't know what's up with this Medieval Celtic/Saxon fetish in Hollywood movies lately. It's worse than Roman bread and circus.
Man I want to see the IMAX version now, I bet that looks amazing. I once saw the terminator thing at Orlando, that was really convincing. I like this celtic fetish thing praxis LOL, what's wrong with it!
It was fairly banal and uninspired. Take away Angelina Jolie and some violence and there was very little to the film. It was a visually pretty film without much depth. It took all the depth away from a classic piece of literature and made it kind of dull. I'd give it like a 6.5 out of ten.
I'm sure the original poem it is based on is much more complex and deep, but I still think there were a lot of interesting sub texts to it.
Ha 300 was totally awesome. I saw it on a heavy dose of DXM. It was fantastic. I've never seen it since. I would probably be let down.

I've booed and walked out of a few movies. I'll only do it if it's especially god awful though. Which happens quite a bit because I really enjoy watching bad cinema and ripping it to shreds.
Holy shit epic. Beowulf is a pretty cool movie, different, but cool. You gotta let go of some expectations.
