Hello Everyone =]
My name is Adam Maxwell Rork and I have a few questions.
I really want to become a Hippie..... but I need some help, and the first step to this is to clear some things up.
So please respond.

1. Do you have to do drugs (pot, acid, lsd, etc) to be a good hippie?
2. Do you have to be a vegetarian to be a good hippie?
3. What political party would be the best to be a part of to be a good hippie?
4. What jobs would be good and bad for a good hippie?
5. How should I break it to my parents that I want to become a hippie?
6. How should I break it to my friends that I want to become a hippie?

The drugs you listed,
marijuana, LSD (which is lysergic acid diethylamide) are my sacraments.
You say you're christian, so you must understand the word Sacrament, no?
Psilocybin mushrooms also fall into this category.
Oh yeah, and don't forget!
We all produce what's called Dimethyltryptamine which is a neurotransmitter in our bodies, as well as a crystalline molecular formation found in most of all the plant and animal kingdom. This is also one of my sacraments.

A hippie is just a word for a human that's down to Earth, free, and loving.

If you want to be good, then be good. Be true. Be open. Flow.

Eat what you want, eat what you can.
If you live in America
you don't want to be eating the meat they sell at the supermarket, bro.
It's so bad.

There is no political party that any hippie should be a part of.
As you age, you will understand that the puppet on the left, and the puppet on the right
are liars playing the same game.
Fuck the US government.
Don't listen to a word they say . .

Do something productive and good for your community like farming, healing, music.
Do whatever you can (that's ethical) to make the money you need to survive in Babylon.

Don't tell your parents you are converting to hippism.
Just become who you truly are.
Look at the past, look into the future, and look at who you are now.
What do you want?

As for your friends . .

If they don't accept you for who you are
then fuck 'em

The basic question you ask is, how do I become a "good hippie"? The bad news is, there is no such thing. Being a hippie is being who you are, and not letting society dictate what you are supposed to be. It is recognizing that the world is a beautiful place, but full of ugly things. For us who see that, it is our job to express that beauty any way we can. Just be who you are. Be a good person.

 

Ok. Thank you guys. And when I said the political party thing, I know the goverment is a horrible thing, but all I was really talking about was maybe support a democrat if for the sole purpose of legalizing pot or something. Otherwise, yes. The government is stupid.

No

Check out the Libertarian Party, you don't have to join them.

4. What jobs would be good and bad for a good hippie?
Bad job: corporate yes man, jack booted thug.
Good job: organic farmer, musician, some kind of craftsperson

5. How should I break it to my parents that I want to become a hippie?
Tell them you want a free and open minded lifestyle

6. How should I break it to my friends that I want to become a hippie?
