I suggested she turn the tv off when she complained there was nothing on last night. We were sitting in the living room drinking beer, and she's flipping through channels even though she knows nothing is on. I said, well, turn it off. She got pissed. She muted it, but left it on and sat there and stared at it. I dont understand it. I dont hang out with her when Im home because she Always has the tv on. She will mute the tv, roll over on the couch and go to sleep. She will leave it on, muted while she goes to bed. I wanna take a hammer to it I swear. Nothing puts me in a worse mood than waking up to tv noises.. she complains that Im always listening to music. It doesn't compare. when the Dtv change happens I dont think Im gonna buy the converter box. fuck tv. I need to read more anyway.
Sounds a bit like me.. but I don't mute it, that's weird.. I do have it on when I go to sleep, but I put it on sleep so it turns itself off after a certain time. I think it's just comforting having it there in the dark. I get a bit scared now if it's not on..
who said I was mad? My sister was the one who got mad after I tried to take her precious moving pictures from her.. lol i was just annoyed.
So you never dream of ghosts in see-through rags paying a visit during your sleep from tube netherland?
i hate tv. it's why we don't have it. well, we both hate it, but you know. if there's a show we really wanna watch, we wait till it comes out on dvd and then rent/burn it, lol! there's no point in paying lots of money for something to suck the brains out. we have the tv box for movies, and that's it.
Television is an electronic income reducer. The sole purpose of television is to sell you things. If you want to live the "average" American life...meaning if you want to live paycheck to paycheck working for someone else...then television is a fine thing. In fact it is great becase it will entrance you and numb your mind. It is so much easier to let the television tell you what to think and what to wear as well as distract you from the important things in life.(family and friends) It is real nice becase you do not have to realize that you are working like a dog barley making a living. I mean after all the television does not have the complexity of human relationships. Plus it is easier to sit on your fat ass on the couch and feed yourself potato chips than to engage your mind by reading or going outside and living a good life. If you have not figured it out...I am not a big television person.

My unemployed ass would take the gold in the couch olympics. Not sure if that's good or bad, but it's still an accomplishment
