Is all stuff from that site bad or just wax? Does the shampoo, locking accelerator, or lock pepper work, or is it just a market sceme?
The only product that you really need is soap....some of those other products may help a little, but if you ask me, it is just a waste of money. time is the best product and it's free. Plus, I just don't want to support them at all, whether the product works or not.
lock peppa is just flakes i think its like a tree sap gross acclertor what a scam that is make your own acceleratot get an 89 cent thing of sea saly add water ..theres your acceleratot 89 cents will last u many years what do they charge? yea theyre pure sxam
Lock Pepper is composed primarily of zinc oxide and silicone dioxide (sand), I'm assuming zinc oxide is an abrasive (its primarily used as a pigment) , as is sand. So basically lock pepper is a pot of hair abrasive. Inhaling zinc oxide dust can also cause metal fume fever.
I bought some Knotty Boy cooling spray, it doesnt do you hair any good. Leaves it sticky, works on the itches though!
I used the lock peppa in the begining and stopped. It made my hair look nasty ... I looked as if I had wicked dandruff and it smelled weird. I like the way my locks feel now w/o it.
tbe primare ingredient is..rosin that crap yhru put on violin bows its like a hard rock maybe a tree sap when rubbed it becomes flakes everything they sell is pure crap anyone who has a long haired dog will tell you.. dreads are harder to prevent then they are to make (i hate that term make..i preffer..let happen) dxreading isnt complicatred.. it dont take technoques or 5 step processes it just takes 1 thing time.. i love how those sites try to manipulatively discourage you from taking the natural route then they say you need wax and lock peopa and acceleratot and theyre special dread soaps even if u go natiural they really piss me off and id love to see them both go outta business forever anyone ever notice that theres not 1 pic of anyone on theyre staff? excvept the chick in the vids who doesnt have dreads do u think anyone assocuated with either site even has dreads/ ? outta curiosity..if i contavted a lawyer and put together a class action suitre against those companies.. how many former waxheads would be willin to jump onboard? the idea isnt for anyone to get alotta $ outta them each may only get a couple bucks but if enough ppl jump onboard it adds up to enough to hopefuly send the message that they gotta stop spreading lies for proffit stop selling dangerouse products hell if even 1 person got scolded trying to remove the wax with bioling water that 1 person could sue em for ..wel;l when mccdonnalds was sued for hot coffee it was 10 million i think at the very least we can force em into labeling the producs with a warning label warning wax is known to cause gross sticky ugly dreads that mold and may require cuttinmg prematurely, extreme care should be used in removing this harmful product since the only way to remove it is extremely hot water, hot enough to cause severe injury dread wax is not recomended for use in human hair and may cause hair to become a fire hazzard use at your own risk think thats a good idea/?
haha... soaring eagle... it's an idea worth looking into i suppose. although i don't know if you could really get them for selling products no one NEEDS. isn't that what all consumerism is? anyways... i used to like the lock peppa... when i first started my dreads. but now a year into it, i realize how it broke my hairs down and made my dreads weaker. when i un-combined my dreads (change of heart) i lost a few due to breakage... they just weren't as strong anymore, and i think that was part of it. obviously, the wax is shite. like eagle said, plain old sea salt in water (add a lil' lemon juice too) works WAY better than the shitty accelerator they sell. rubberbands melt into goo... don't go there. and... hmm.... the shampoo i actually really really like. so far it's the only shampoo that i felt like got my dreads EXTREMELY perfectly clean. i liked that it lathered, and it made my dreads all nice and light and fluffy. don't call me a traitor, eagle... but i do think this shampoo is awesome. HOWEVER, i refuse to spend 10 bucks plus shipping on a shampoo when i can get suave daily clairfying for under 2 bucks at walmart. and it works almost as well.
http://www.dreadheadhq.com/lore/idx...ad_for_dreads_is_your_wax_bad_for_dreads.html this made made me sick and sad at the same time. notice that all thay do is insult and categorize the nay sayers and dont talk about the actual wax roumors. agree with all you said tree hugger the locka peppa lead to alot of breakage. but i love the shampoo though as you said. the last two months ive been using the kb one as its cheaper, but it certainly dont leave with the same clean feeling.
They have one guy from the youtube dreadheadhq vids that does have dreads right? he has them very neat thick long ones... Wax I used for a while- keeps it pretty for a day then gets it sticky and nasty
This crap really pisses me off. I believe the Dreadhead scammers must have come across this forum and tried to respond to it with a whole list of straw-men fallacies. ugggg. I'll quote it in full
I think SoaringEagle should reply to this, along with all the other people that have had a negative effect from thier products. let the truth be told!
Actually, I personally swear by DreadheadHQ products. The shampoo is amazing and gets my dreads sooo clean. I have bought shampoos from health stores and not one shampoo that I have bought has ever gotten my hair clean. I love their locking peppa it helped lock up my dreads amazingly well. I haven't got a bad thing to say about Dreadhead HQ and without them my dreads would be a mess. I don't use wax anymore but when I did, honestly, if you stick to what they say and use a thumbnail size bit of wax per dread, the wax is a wonderful product. However if you over wax then you'll have problems. Now knotty boy I would not recommend as their soap bars are useless, their locking gel is just sugar and their cooling spray worked for three seconds.:cheers2:
