so ive been reading this book called My Big TOE. which stands for my big picture theory of everything. the author, Thomas Campell, is a physicist, and was friends with the famous out of body traveler Robert Monroe. together for many years they both traveled out of their body's, exploring different realities both physical and nonphysical. the book explains consciousness, god, the structure of reality, physics, and how we all relate to this. the book has no belief based anything. this is all scientific, the science of how the creator came to be, how it formed everything in the cosmos, and how love fits in with the picture. he even gives a scientific definition of love. who would of thought? this book is sheer enlightenment. it has helped tie together a lot of what i have experienced on lsd and other psychedelics. especially some of the stuff i saw on 10 hits. it confirmed my seeings as real and what i learned as real. the only thing is the author does not take any drugs at all. he does all of his travels completely sober. i bet if he tried some lsd or some dmt even, the results would be miraculous. i want to write him an email and ask him if hes ever had the expereience of meeting any transforming machine elves on his journeys. hahah. anyone who is ready to discover big truth should go order this book. love to all! peace.

is that what makes a good theory? whichever makes things seem most real? or is it whichever is most logical? The imagination can always weave something more appealing than reason can. But its not as real.

I'm a reasoner. I think reason is the one the most real aspects of life. For what reason do people do good or bad things? I think if you look at the reasons people do what they do, you can help them a lot better than if you simply judged them.

Like you said, it's easier to let our imagination get rid of reason, but without reason we would not exist as we do today.

im not sure if we are using the same meaning for reason, i mean logic. logic is not the natural progression of human actions.. at least with the terms and conditions we recognise today. I dont just mean reason like as in motive or purpose. The reasons that leasd to good and bad things are generally not logical nor are they necessarily adressing real objects in teh world. People can do things because of things they imagine and they can end up doing much different things than they thought and getting a much different payoff. I dont think human reasoning on the whole adresses reality critically. But 'reason' as in the 'rational thought' that i speak of is something that has only become a prominence in humanity in the last few thousand years. probably.

I see what you're saying. I was thinking of something a bit different.

    I agree with you nonetheless
