The worst cities I have been to... Memphis Detroit Chicago Now I have been to other cities that I did not like but these 3 stand out as icons of shit holes. I would have added a couple others but it was right after Katrina so it was unfair.
In no particular order Cleveland Cincinnati in fact all of Ohio Chicago mostly just the C's. Although I really hate Pittsburgh, the state of Florida, and West Virginia.
These lists are completely invalid until someone puts Baltimore in the top 3. For a small city we sure have a lot of murders. And when you add the layer of scum floating on the inner harbor, the constant smog from the power plants in Curtis Bay and the chromium that permeates in the soil in South Baltimore it all adds up. Detroit and Chicago are for sissies.
How about St. Louis? Isn't it sad that these are all essentially rust-belt cities? Meaning, these were the backbone of industrial production in this country post-WWII. But really, L.A. is far worse than anything. And then there is the South Bronx and the area radiating out of the Broadway Junction section of Brooklyn (Bedford-Stuyvensant, Brownsville, East New York) which are about the most dilapidated urban areas in the country. I haven't been theres in a little while.
i think orlando will start to rise up the ranks in the coming years. it is getting very bad these days. alot of crime, and drugs are the main economy.
i dont think chicago is bad at all. its calmer than any other city and the cops there are cool with everything. they're not like every other cops who eat dunkin doughnuts and chase after speeders who do 5 over... I lived near this city for 18 years and counting. its a great life here. plus you have areas in the city that lets you get away from the noise and go down by the lake
You’re not being fair to Memphis, Tennessee Yes it's a piece of shit (I have relatives who live down there) but since the TV Reality Show The First 48 was discontinued (because it gave the city a bad image) the murder rate has fallen by 0.2%.:cheers2: Hotwater
I went to chicago recently for a music festival, and I do not understand the traffic rules/lack of rules there AT ALL. there are signs that tell you no left turn, yet the arrow on the light says to turn left. and apparently there's left on red. and people honk at you if you stop at a red light. Oh what a stressful car ride that was.
oh, newark, new jersey. I didn't really see any of it besides the hotel i stayed in between subway rides to new york city, but it smells like shit and makes your eyes water. I don't see how anyone can live there. Also I don't really like new york city. Or chicago. or san fransisco. or any big touristy city really.
The whole northeast corridor is a cesspool of little shitholes until you enter New England (the last bastion of civility) in an uncivilized world :cheers2: Hotwater
