To think I've always blamed UEFA and the Americans for changing the beautiful game's name. Terrible, need to find a space somewhere and have a word with myself.
Likewise mellow, always been a bit superior about using the word football instead of soccer. Eat a piece of humble pie, and be a bit more accepting is the lesson to learn I imagine. Tried to read up on Wiki but find it difficult to acertain why the word Rugby became the prevelant word to desribe that form of football, because the "Myth" about the boy picking up the ball and running is obvious nonsense. I think there was a push for some reason to use "Rugby" and this allowed soccer to revert back to the older and therefore more comfortable term with the masses "football".
Well that was an interesting day in football circles another multi Billionaire now has a new plaything in the Premier League, now that will shake manchester up a bit.
i think we've all learned a valuable lesson about blaming american's for EVERYTHING.:cheers2: i'ma go have a cup of superior coffee and ponder on my blamelessness...
