I'm not a huge fan...

... of parents who name their kids using the same first letter in all their names (all A names, B names, etc.)... it just annoys me for some reason....

Or parents who give their children cutesy names that are phrases. I went to school with a girl named Sunny Beech. What morons...

what about parents who make all their kids' names rhyme? i once knew these sisters that were called Mary, Sarry, Terry and Patty-Jo. not sure where Patty-Jo fit in, but then she was kind of a different girl...

 

i also dislike parents who can only give their kids a name if the name appeared in the bible...

equally annoying is my uncle, who gives all his pets biblical names

I can't find myself motvated to give a shit about parents naming conventions as a rule, sometimes I will see a name and ask myself "how could parents do that to their child" but I usually just move on after about 15 seconds of giving a shit.

 

well yeah... it certainly isn't something I sit and dwell upon all day long...

the whole reason I started this thread was because i typed up a birth announcement for parents who named all their kids with A names... and it annoyed me... so I made a thread about it....

 

wasn't meant as a criticism, just as a counterbalance to all the name hate, for perspective.
