I've read some articles and found one about 10 years ago in a local newspaper about this very question. She found by her research and pointed out some astonishing answers that many fail to want to see. I'm curious if that continues on still.
It isn't Jesus that returns. It's the inner Christ within all people. As a person matures spiritually, the inner Christ, your true nature, comes out and displaces the old selfish human you. Christianity has it all wrong. x
I don't like organized religion personally.. just seems when you get something organized like a religion things get messy
Couldn't have said it better myself when I get angry at people for being stupid. Too much stupidness out there. But unfortunately people are bred into believing so much crap that by the time they reach the age of reason the old ways are a bit hard to break even though inside they know better.
I believe in Jesus...i have different beliefs about the second comng and heaven and hell...but i do believe in God the father and jesus...or whatever one chooses to call their higher power/ creator.
Whilst what you said is happening, Jesus, well actually an "updated" Jesus, WILL return, or is already here. Apparently this next "saviour" will be the collection of all previous God-heads/saviours throughout history. He literally made a promise that he'd physically come back. In a different form however, but still physical.
Ugh...Jesus was probably just a schizophrenic. People in mental hospitals think they're the son of god all the time, and no one seems to believe them.
I don't think so. I believe that he existed and taught that stuff, but his words were later manipulated by the church for control. God, if he exists, won't give a shit which religion you follow. Besides, I always figured God is less of a single figure but rather a force, connecting us all together.
I don't really believe in any of the bullshit, probably all just direct results of all the crazy ass drugs that grow naturally in that area. But if some dude wants to like save me or w/e I'll be straight with that. But I'm not gonna believe in something that has caused shit tons of death and many little boys to be molested (lol @ priests).
Yeah, it's not really fare, the majority of kids aren't given a choice, they're told from day 1 to believe in God. We'd criticize parents who did the same thing except with politics.
Torn between fake and for control, and gullability on the human race's part for wrongly interpreting historical records and taking the original writings (which, imo where not events on earth but records of symbols and stars from the night sky..) way out of context.
Every Sunday night some Clown on Tv is telling us of Jesus and his great return.. GTFO!!.. I agree with Xenon..
Its funny how the non-believers are always so rude, and they have to utter profanities at every mention of religion. They are always angry and depressed. Makes you think? hmm? Whereever I have seen this poll on other forums, it measures about the same : 20-25% say yes. Here is a list of the 100 most popular people ever, based on how many entries of their name are on the WWW. See if you can guess the first 3, before clicking : http://www.2010-south-africa.net/world/Statistics.htm ;-j
