 I am aware that most of you are already familiar with this fact, as you have guessed the penny has dropped.
I have been using the shampoo bar for about three months, whilst letting my hair do its thing. It never really gets my hair clean, leaves a shitty residue, no matter how much you rinse - AND as an added bonus leaves white flakes. Believe me I have tried to rinse, use less, use more, rinse twice - you get the picture.
Needless to say Im going to order some Dr. Bronners, would you like to say whether you use the bar or the shampoo, plus your reasons for doing so.

    Cheers

neither bar nor shampoo u want the dr bronners original magic soap
its an 18 in 1 soap not a shampoo its useable for absolutely everything
the luiquid is best because its super concentrated and very pure
you dilute the luiquid 1 part bronners 12 parts water for your hair
that means 1 36 oz bottle will give ya about 432 oz of "shampoo"
its extremely economical this way.. bars are the oposite they melt in the shower no matter how careful you are more goes straight down the drain then actualy gets used
plus they have added something to make em bar form

when choising teatree helps with flakes itches and dandruf plus keeps away lice and bugs (i spend alotta time in the woods and only had 1 tick in the past 15 years)
pepermint and eicolyptus tingle and cool and open sinuses and drain mucus eucolyptus also repells some insects like mosquitos somewhat (think fleas too not that humans get infested with them but they will bite u if your pets are infested) lavander just smells good maybe is slightly coinditioning? almond smewlls amazing
the unscented is extremely gentle like baby shampoo

bronners is also 1 of the most easily biodegradable soaps more so in soil then water so ifd youir in the woods camping best to take a bucket 300 feet from water and wash there then to wash right in the stream..but in the soil it breaks down very easily and quickly

if you just look at the ingredients its odvios how pure it is

While it's obvious they're in it for the money and not healthy dredlocked hair I have used their liquid shampoo and think it's fine. A little strong for me and not a favourite but certainly not rubbish.

I prefer using the Dr. B bars over the liquid but it's a personal preference. They won't "melt" if you keep them out of water! I washed with the liquid soap last night - I use all sorts of things to clean my hair.

I've just bought myself a bottle of Dr. Bronners tea tre oil magic soap. You all say it needs diluting, is that as literal as it sounds or can you use a small amount in your hands and rub it in?

I just dilute it in a sink or fair sized bowl and dunk me head in while massaging the dreads. I find for best results with Bronners is not to use too much but yet not too little. You should know what feels right when you do it! Hope that helps a bit man.

I started in May, did like 6 weeks of not washing, my hair went disgusting. I started using the Knotty Boy Bar, which did help for a while, now my hair is in between wrank and clean. Its time for a change!
Its getting there though, definate sections and some dreads in there, still pretty loose. Im just finding my way, I'm worried about towel drying though, I dont want to rub any out. Im currently washing my hair every 5 days, I just hope I'm not over doing it!

I was having a problem with soaps leaving stuff in my hair for the first few months or so. I got tired of it and did a deep clean with both ACV and baking soda, and it worked really well. I would suggest trying something like that.
