clear cutting is insane, not that, i know much about it, how do they figure the enviroments gunna survive when we wont have anymore trees for o2 production
far enough down the road were gunna be screwed into living in giant bubbles... i think we need to stop building the homes, move into the backyard and use are old home for firewood
Across the field behind my house they are clearing some woods to make way for either some rental storage sheds or a mobile home park.....its been chasing a few bear up our way. I just hope they will be ok and find another home safely.
Its horrible what they're doing by me....so much construction. I was talking with a friends dad about how many trees there used to be around here. Its depressing, I mean I understand communities need to expand but it gets to be ridiculous at a certain point.
i know what you mean, down the road from me they took out about 2-3 acres of trees to put in a new shopping center. it made me pretty mad
Near my area they're taking all this farm land and open space full of trees and perfectly functioning houses and wiping it all away to make more highway that we don't need. It's so sickening. I don't understand why people can't just make due with what they have. It's so heartbreaking D:
MOST of the worlds oxygen comes from algae and shit in the ocean, not from trees and plants. That's how oxygen first came to be a main constituent of the atmosphere. But seriously, the woods destroying is very angering. It's going on EVERYWHERE around here. There used to be massive amounts of woods around here. Me and my ex went up to a nice huge rock in the woods to smoke, only to find that there was a huge clearing there. It made me upset. There are places around town that it happens every day. Meh
Don't eat stuff made out of soy. They cut thousands of square miles per year to plant that stuff, and it's a growing ecologic disaster from what I hear and read.
Soy is one of the most hazardous plantations at the moment, or so I've read. I'm not just being random. Though I may be wrong.
It is quite ironical, and sad. From what i've heard, transgenics also have a lot to do with this. I went and did a little research, and found this article, which speaks about deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon: Here's the link to the whole article, the bit on soy is under the commercial agriculture subtitle: http://www.mongabay.com/brazil.html#ag
You know, that just really goes to show that you can't trust any kind of corporation. You think you're doing something good, buying soy. You say, "hey i think i'll eat soy shaped like a turkey instead of the actual turkey because the turkeys are mistreated" Then, you find out that by trying to help the turkeys, you're hurting all kinds of other animals who's homes are being destroyed by deforestation. What a trip. I guess I'll just stick to leaves and berries from now on-that is until the soy people destroy all my supply
