Pavement or Interpol.

    if i were using the stranded on a desert island scenario, i would have to go with pavement. interpol is nice, but hasn't exactly evolved much in the span of three records. pavement is a bit more fun and varied.

    Wow, seriously? There's no debate, Pavement is much better. Probably the best band of the 90s. Interpol's first album is the only one worth listening to, IMO.

    pavement are just about my favourite band. so pavement. eaaaaaaaaaasily. slanted and crooked rain, cummon theyre two of the best records of the 90's.
    interpols last two records sucked hard. and theyre just joy division minus all the awesomeness of joy division.

    ill have to listen to interpol first, ive got one pavement album Slanted And Enchanted. i like their guitar stuff and their mellow but rockin and also some craziness mix. its cool

    These two bands are much different but I prefer Interpol really. Just my opinion though... How do I put my picture in my avatar instead of the stock stuff :(

    ha its a tie!
    i voted for interpol, but i do not necessarily like their album antics.
