ir wraps can be done 2 ways temporary speed wraps or semi permenant macramet wraps
speed wraps u take several colrs tie em round the roots leave all colors straifght along the dread body except the cfurrent color u want showing
wrap that many times around then switch colors..atend u can braid the leftover or knot it

macremet theres many decorative knots that u can use t create fancy effects that also make the wrap last much longer
instead of taking 1thread and wrapping take 2 and crossing tucking 1 under the other this creates a spiral psttern of alternating colors if u cross them the oposite way they wontspiral but leave 2 ridges of knots along each side
u can use just 1 and tuck it under itself to crete a single edged spiral
u can lok up ter fany knots but thiose are the basics used most often
tis will make them last years even if theyre hemp or at least a year if wool speed wraps ten to start fallin apaert after just a few washes
yes u can wash with em in
they will be lil stiff the1st few washes then becomemore flexible
the hair inside will tighten with each wash
oh with the knotted version u can add trinkets and beads and stiff to make em fun

those will fall apart in a week or 2
the knotted version can last months or years
    its not complicated at all
i can do it and im a moron..lol

try this take a pencil tie 2 4 oe 6 different collor threads around the eraser end
now lay all except 2 down the length of the pencil
the other 2 that are left out have them pointing in opposite directions
take 1 in front of the dread 1 behind and stick it under the other
so now they point in the opposite direction they did
    pull tight repeat
if u keep going in the same direction u get a spiral if u reverese directions with each knot u get a flat sraight edge with 1 color on each side insread of alternating colors (or u can use 2 threads same color if u like)

after u do like 10 take those threads lat them flat against theshaft and choose 1 or 2 others to continuer with its really simple

5 paGES ON GOOGLE AND ALL WERE JUST KITS OR BOOKS OR VIDS FOIR SALE NO ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS EXCEPT FOR THE CRAPPY SPEED AWRAPS
THE BETTER WRAPS U WOULD MAYBE HAFTA GET A BOOK OR DVD INSTRUCTIONS..
OR BETTER YET GOTO A GATHERING, GO TO TRADE CIRCLE AND ASK AROUND WHO DOES EM AND WATCH HOW THEY DOI EM..ITS EASY AS HELL
the better more fancy knotted versions just take lil longer but they also last much longer
