IAMS sucks reel bad man

boycott IAMS they test on dogs and cats

 

as far as I know, they use the animals to test their food, to see what they like the most and what doesn't appeal as much to them... I mean, they're going to be feeding this stuff to animals, so they know not to put anything bad in it that will make them sick.
They have a animal testing policy, as well. it's on their site

if that's not the case, then tell me so and why.

no, dogs in IAMS testing facilities have had they voice boxs removed and parts of muscles and flesh removed(on live animals).
they purposely give the dogs products that will harm the dogs, get the dogs sick, give them diseases, and kill them. they are confined to cages for their whole lives, and in some cases ive seen(in videos) they are left in cages to sit in the hot sun all day.

why does this need to happen? im pretty sure by now we know what dogs like to eat, and what is good for them. what is there to test?

 

It is true that IAMS corporation has been caught performing food testing on animals considered to be cruel by any normal person, regardless of what they "officially" tell the public they are doing.

More importantly, their food is crap and I considered it nothing but cruel to feed it to any dog!

 

Yeah this is true, I work in a pet shop and we don't sell IAMS for this reason.

if I tell my dad to get some different food because of this, he won't give a shit though

 

It not good food either, there's not a lot of meat in it, it's cheaply made etc.etc. I've heard of animals getting addicted to it too..

 

All I really know about IAMS I saw from a documentary my mother thought I should watch... Which basically showed how the company doesn't put edible things into some of their foods and has caused literally thousands of animals to die from the long term effects. They found a number of built up plastics in some pets which were linked to the food... Personally I like to feed my animals home-made dishes and save money and any strange effects the other foods might give them.

 

Addicted, really? I didn't know dogs can get addicted to things.

 

IAMS is such a terrible pet food. It's loaded with non-nutritional filler that the pets just shit out. If you're giving your pet IAMS, try switching to a holistic brand and you'll notice a significant decrease in the amount of feces.

I just saw the video on Peta's website for the first time today. I wasn't quite sure what was going on, but I could tell that it wasn't good. It started out with a room full of dogs just lying there and them dragging the dogs and seeing the dogs cages and just hearing the dogs go crazy. But it actually took reading the article to understand.

If anyone hasn't seen it yet, I definately suggest looking it up.

 

It's horrible. I've seen the behind the scenes videos. Unfortunately, my parents still buy it for our dogs, because "they're used to it". Sheesh...

 

I would be skeptical about anything I found on PETA's website. They lack quite a bit in the ethics department themselves.

 

True, but its well known that IAMS is a BAD company with a bad product.

Many pet stores refuse to sell IAMS.
