taking out my nipple piercings (not really a question, just a gross story)

i had my nipples pierced for about a year with no problems. about a week and a half ago i decided to take them out just because i was tired of them, as i do with all my piercings. well they were just fine for about a week but one morning i woke up with a bump on each side of my left nipple where the hole had been. they were BIG bumps. i showed my boyfriend and was like, "woah, look, what's wrong with my nipple!" and he looked at it and started touching the bumps and said, "eew, it almost looks like i can pop it!" and just as he said that he squeezed it just a little bit and that thing POPPED. it didn't just pop, it fucking SQUIRTED. it went all the way across the right side of my body and landed on his pillow. it was disgusting but hilarious. anyway, he finished squeezing all the pus out and now it looks pretty normal, just little scars but no bumps. it was really gross though. i don't think it was infected... i don't know what was up with it... this happen to anyone else's piercings when removed?

i guess all the bacteria that was collected in that open space...
