hello fellow hippies I juts want to know something, does anyone else get shit from people just because you have ideals of peace and cause you dress out of the norm, i mean the sixties are over, so why are we still seeing people who feel they have to make it hard for hippies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they feel so small themselves it makes them feel bigger when they put someone else down.. they feel inferrior and are accutally crying out for love and careing..
This doesn't happen to me, seeing as I'm by myself all the time. It did tho, and does whenever I go out to places. Whatever, I dont mind.
i also noticed that they stop saying shit to you if you either not say anything back(works sometimes) or if you insult them severely to where they have no comeback and you lower their self esteem on the spot(works all the time).
i get called all types of things for wearing tyedye and loving the environment..and also for wanting peace..i dont get why we cant all just get along
yeah its annyonig.. not even with my ideals of peace. btu with the bloody cltohing i wear! it was free dress day today (because we wear uniforms) and i wore this beautiful tie die dress.. and liek all these little kids and even older seniors were like totally making fun of it.. helloooo- we are the 21st century here.. all that bullshit is getting outdated.

We have a bunch of wanna be hippie redneck types around here, but they still talk shit. Sprout catches hell about his dreadlocks, but the black ladies love it You don't see many white folks around here with dreads.....just lots and lots of mullets.
When I first moved out here, reactions were~young kids, do you have drugs?~the Indians, do you want to come to the sweat lodge? Now~the locals accept me,sometimes ask about my hair and beard, or the peace symbol. But not rudely, more like they feel comfortable talking with me about things they don't understand.,,,john
Where I live, there are all kinds of subcultures, conservative people think they are strange, but this is as far as it goes. Of course there are some prejudgements, but when people get to know each other it all ends. Of course I am not speaking for huligans that would beat anyone on the street and not just "strange" people.
