apolagies if there is already a thread about this, but i was just wondering if anyone wanted to share their experiences about while they were on mushrooms??? i was told by this guy i know that a mate of his had a bad trip on the stuff and said it was like experienceing the worst nightmare you could ever have. any one had anything similar???
If you ask your spirit guide what you wish to attain from your psychedelic trip thats what you get. You ask for a very artisc trip with colors and lights, you'll get it. You ask for all the energy in the world, you'll get it. Same goes with the way your mind is set. If you are a positive thinker, optimist, and are able to think through your decisions, you'll never forget your night/day. If your a negative thinker, down in the dumps not looking on the bright side or even using the drug in abuse or for any other reason thats not authentic to your human soul, you'll be in a world of hell. Me, I've never had a bad trip, simply because I don't know how to! ahhaha I reccomend every time that one takes a psychedelic drug is to sit and think for a good 5 mins, have a smoke or something, and think about what you want to get out of your trip. It doesn't have to be awesome, it could simply be to have intense closed eye visuals or you could ask it to show you to enlightenment. Its like dreams....before you go to sleep, I know for me if I say to myself outloud i need to remember my dreams, or something along those lines, it will make my brain linger on that thought so when I start dreaming I know what the last thing I said was....Remember your dreams! Dreams, Psychedelics, same thing. I've known people to have claimed to have bad trips, that they are scars for life. But, these people that have bad trips, are people who eat LSD and mushrooms RITUALLY! You can't abuse the power of a psychedelic, the purpose of it is for you to take all that you know and feel out the window, leaving pretty much a blank slate. Leaving you to try and understand your life (self-reflection, and if you trip every week or something, theres nothing left for you to reflect on...except the fact that you eat psychedelic drugs like they were popcorn) The brain has to go through A LOT to fit everything back in its place. WHen people do these drugs every week the brain starts to half ass getting the pieces together. Final words, don't be a dick! Be a dude! Respect these drugs, respect your soul, and respect the universe and all shall glisten down upon thee.
Well i did 3 grams of shrooms 2 nights ago for the first time (really potent stuff and im only 105 pounds lol), and i had a pretty good time (awesome fucking visuals, i thought i was in a candy jugle, music sounded so real, alive and fucking good, i listened to dark side of the moon like 10 times, never got tired of it) just remember that within 5 hours youll become sober, that no psyical damagor mental damage can happen and its all in your head and its just the drug thats creating all of this. Go with the flow and let the mushies take over your mind for a few hours and have a good trip and remember that mushies are one of the safest drugs, its easier to overdose on water than shrooms
Almost all of us have seen friends have a bad trip. It happens on shrooms and LSD alike. I've made some guesses on %'s in the past. Here's what I can recall: Odds of a bad trip = 1/100 Odds of a bad trip leaving you with permanent mental 'damage' = 1/10,000
Sounds about right, actually. Of course, there's no way to ever tell, but that is definitely reasonable IMO.
heres my bad trip report: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=312949 for me it was an agonizing experience, but when i finally began to come back down i lost memory of much of what happened and decidedly kept it much that way.
*Sigh* I was going to post a coherent answer but that well... I realized this thread has a very poorly posed question, so I am unable to answer.
Just remember that you may experience ego loss (its supposed to be a very pleasant thing, but many people find it scary), like you may feel very disconnected from your normal ego (self), this is what makes it easy to see your problems, its like looking in a mirror and seeing a totally different person
There is even a referance to it in a beatles song tomorrow never knows (they took it out of the book psychedelic experience, by timothy leary), the opening lines are "turn off your mind relax and float downstream, it is not dying, it is not dying." I highly recommend you listen to the song while tripping (very trippy, and if you do get scared listen to that line)
