I'd once heard there were places where the nursing shortage was so severe they'd pay you to go to nursing school if you committed to working there for a certain period, does that still happen?
we have to leave the catheter joke for shroomy none of the rest of us base souls can do it justice (we all know one is coming)
I decided on nursing when my late grandmother was in the hospital. Ill have to check out the paid for school thing.
I THINK they have a program somewhere in kansas, my sister was looking at it a short bit ago, I'll see if I can still find any off the links edit: http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/nursing/scholarship/ here is one of the programs. you might need a sham marriage for that one. requires citizenship, and I don't know how hard that is to actually obtain.
for that one, there are a lot that are per institution. it looks like you'll have to check on a per school basis, I'd start by looking at stats regarding nurses per capita/nursing shortage data so you could zero in on regions to investigate.
because the u.s. system of putting people $30,000 into debt for a weekend at the hospital has done so well to remedy our nursing shortage with our 24% administrative costs.
The urban dictionary has 3 different definitions, and I'm not sure which one you are referring to....
I am sorry to hear you had a such a messed up week Cate. Things can only get better from here. big HUGS TO YOU !!!!
