will i have time to grow now?

so i was wondering if i had enough time to grow a plant. i just planted it today, August 17 in my backyard in westchester. Its very sunny now so i think it should grow if i continue to water it frequently. will it have enough time to bud properly or am i out of luck?

According to rangerdanger June 30th is the last day to plant for full grow outdoors. That's in Nor. Cal. farther north will be earlier, south a little later:>)
