I'm 23, almost 24. I've been sexually active since I was 16. I've been on birth control pills off and on since then. During times (and when I'm with a new partner) I am off the pill and need to use a condom, 90% of the time it has broke. I've used every major brand, I've used appropriate sizes, I've never had a problem with dryness and I've had to take the plan B pill over 20 times. No one should take it more than once or twice in their life. I'm just frustrated cause the condom broke again last night, 2 hours AFTER I took the Plan B pill cause it broke the night before. We were not even going that hard at the time either. We are putting condoms on properly too. I'm in the adult film industry so I should know how to use a condom. I was very wet and the night before I was even more wet because I was rolling off E. What the hell is up with that? I'm glad I've never caught an std and I still have never been pregnant.

There could be various reasons for the condom breaking. I would suggest some of the following:
First if the guys you tend to be with are above average (greater than 7.5 inches or so) then make sure the condom you are using covers his whole shaft. If it doesn't then you may want to try a different brand that's made specifically for those who are well endowed.

Also make sure that the condoms aren't being stored in places that are above room temperature and make sure when opening that you aren't so excited that you accidentally rip it.

The only other thing I can suggest is to make sure that you are leaving enough space at the tip.

You mentioned that you were wet both times, so I'm guessing you aren't applying any extra lubricants to the condoms?

Do the condoms break when the guy ejaculates or during the act of sexual intercourse?

why not look into the pill if youre having so many problems with the condoms? i mean, condoms are -great- for protecting against stds and such which the pill doesnt, id say use both considering your career as well. but it might be time to get on the pill instead of resorting to plan b so much

I too have had lousy luck with condoms. Buy heavier duty condoms. Pretty much every time I've used one of those "great feeling ones" they sure felt great!... and then I pulled back a ring around the base of my dick... that's one of those sinking feeling moments.

My boyfriend and most of the guys I've been with have been average sized. About 7 in. Plus they haven't been stored in bad locations (wallet, heater, etc..) Last time we just bought a new box and used one immediately. The condom will break when he ejaculates, not during. Whether we're going for 5 minutes or 45 min. it's always when he ejaculates.

    Alonym:
I mentioned that I'm on the pill on again, off again. About 70% of the time between ages 16-24 I've been on the pill. The times when I'm not on the pill is when I'm not having sex. When I'm working I'm always on the pill. I've never had a condom break at work though. The porn industry uses Crown condoms which are invisible, heavy duty, and you can't feel them. It's hard to find them. They're only used by sex workers and can only be purchased through the AIM clinic (adult industry medics). I'm not on the pill because I recently went to Miami for a business trip and was gone for 2 months. I had 3 packs of pills in my suitcase pocket but when I arrived in Miami, I noticed them missing. I was good for the first month but after that I just didn't work or have sex. I'm now back in Michigan (where my b/f and I live) and I wanted to wait till I got home to get free pills. I did get my free pills but I'm on the first week still and it takes 1 week for the pills to kick in.

I went by what my doctor, OBGYN said. I'm sure it's different for every pill.

what kind of pills are you taking...im no doctor, and ive not change pills very often, but ive always been told the two weeks-a month deal. it would have sucked winding up pregnant because of months of waiting for pills to kick in.

He also told me before he gave me my pills that they took that long. So it wasn't like I didn't know.

Hey, if the condom is always breaking on ejaculation - are you sure these guys are leaving enough room between the tip of the condom and the head of their member?

My dr has always said ONE month for bc effectiveness-not three.

have you tried trogans? those are the only condoms hubby(who is a bit above avg size) and I have been able to trust.

ETA- it is always on the safe side to use TWO forms of BC-
condoms and spermicide, BC and condoms,
    have you considered an IUD?
