Why such a huge jump in potency?

I've been reading about salvia for quite some time now, and mostly everyone says 20X is fine. My friend and I are going to try it on friday, yet we keep being told by people around here that we need to get "100X" from the headshop to get where we want to be (aka tripping, not just a high). Why have I been hearing 20X around the forums yet in real life, people say 100X? Also, this mysterious 100X is $80, for how much I do not know yet. Does this sound like a complete rip off?

 

That's a bit pricey. For your first time. Split the diff, start with 30 or 40. See what that does or doesn't do for you. If it doesn't work, then fine, try the higher grade. But I'd think twice before dropping that sort of change.

Headshop prices are always high! My local place only sells a max of 40X and they get $89.99 for it lol

20X is a good starting point, it proble wont work your first time, but the trip wont be super extreme the first time you do trip! Ive done salvia 5 times and only tripped 3 times before, and 2 hits of 20X is pritty extreme

yeah i kinda want to do salvia again, but i don't wanna do it by myself. last couple of times i did it w/ my friend, but after last time he had a crazy trip & he told his wife about it.. which was a mistake. & she made him promise he'd never do it again.. lame

 

Sorry you lost your Salvia buddy. It's always a lot better to have someone with you. It's kinda lonely doing it alone if you're used to having people with you. May try it tonight (this morning on my own)

 

10X unstandardized extract from IAS worked a little too well for me. Unfortunately, though, they're in IL. And as far as not tripping, that's from smoking technique. Use a bong and a torch lighter, lighting it the entire time. Try to cash a whole bowl in one hit. If you can manage, keep hitting it till you cash it. Make sure to hold each hit as long as you can, too.

 

There's more between 20x and 100x... such as 30x 40x etc. Did you really just assume since you had only heard for those 2 they were the only ones that existed?

 

yeah i know but i haven't heard anyone say that "60X" or like "80X" was the strongest. the two main numbers i've heard are 20 and 100 which is a huge reason why i think it's really strange.

 

Well I guess that could just be what's available in your area that's why it's all you've really heard about. but online you can get damn near any extract (within realistic boundary's of course)

 

120x is the highest I've seen. 120x at the shop in my area will run you about a quarter sized container for almost 50$. It's not really worth it in my honest opinion, but for 5 minutes you'll be tripping you fucking balls off.

$50 is cheep haha, my local headshop gets that for 1 gram of 20X, and they charge $89.99 for 40X

 

It's all in how you respond to it. Someone may have a complete trip at 20-30x, whereas another person, it may take them 100x to get the same experience.

Man i trip pritty hard on 2 hits of 20X, i would never do 100X. I would be scared of never comming out of it

 

my first experience with it was splitting a gram of 5x three ways, which was okay. 25x is actually some pretty potent stuff. I wouldn't trust the 100x at the headshop.
