    I just got dreads, and yes, I do drugs. But I have dozens and dozens of friends who do way more drugs than I do, and I don't know anyone else my age with dreadlocks. So it's definitely just a coincidence in my case.

    I have met people from all walks of life that do drugs. Religious, Atheist. Rich, poor. Preppy, grungy, punk, hipster, nerdy. Clean, dirty. Intelligent, moronic. Boys, girls, Gay, straight. It really doesn't matter.

    also i know many many dreasds wjho are toital purests about not doing drugs
    staying oure in ital diets

    genberaly as well the dreads who do partake of weed totaly avoid all other drugs including over the counter ones and stick to herbal medications
    thats not always the case but its a general trend in the dreads ive seen who do use herbal recreations
    (many do not concider the use recreation but spiritual atunement)

    I don't personally see a connection between drugs and dreads.
    I don't have dreads but do drugs.

    there is no connection
    the only perceived connection comes from alot of regae artists with dreads being very vocal about legalizing mariguana
    which again is an herb not as drug (every single rasta i ever met was very very anto drug but pro herb(well not all pro herb only the ones who smoked)

    and the most sad part is(not the idea but the general thought), dreadlocks in pop culture is very tight with their thinking of dreads as rastas. haha. little do they know that its been there for a very(since the dawn of man) long time. xD

    :cheers2::cheers2::cheers2:

    Who cares? Don't base your life on what others think of you. If you want dreadlocks, it doesn't matter in the least what others think about you.

    gonna have to disagree on that. alcohol is one of the most harmful and addictive drugs....even though it is legal.

    it also really depends on when you catch a person too. many dread heads come to festies and of course a lot of drugs are doone by those with or without em. it's just that these are the events that society at large really sees and therefor what they get there basis of what ppl with dreads ( and many other styles) are abut. which is not a good thing to go on b/c media distorts eveerything and festivals are a beautiful dream that ppl come out of the woodwork for, some ppl continue the eeling but a lot of people don't maintain the party all year long.
