It getting close to time to pick my study abroad country, and I've decided that the UK is definitly my location of choice. Anyone around have any suggestions of which county/ city? I believe my choices are Hull, London, Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Edinbugh, and Dundee. I do love London, but I'm thinking not, because of expense. Or are all these cities going to be like that? Anyway, thanks. Any input, advice, warnings, or ideas are greatly appreciated!
As an American , you'd like London.Well unless you prefer the countryside. But it may be 40 percent more expensive than outside Ldon. But again , it depends which part of town , and how u spend your money etc etc It might be Ldon is best for u after all. Edinburgh is nice . its small and a good Univ.Probably an international type University too. Dundee , I dont know much about. Dublin is good. Limerick and Galway , - dont know. Hull , I dont know how international it is.Hull as a place might not be everyone's "cup of tea".But many students would love it. You might want to think of other big/ biggish towns/cities which will have many international students- Manchester , Bristol , Nottingham , Birmingham , there are lots. But what do u want?A top uni? A city university? A campus?Certain hobbies?COuntryside nearby? etc etc. Then we could advise in detail.
Dublin, Galway and Limerick are not in the UK! Dublin has a huge international population. It not to big and everything is central. Edinburgh is nice too with a good similar vibe going on. Wiki the cities and watch some videos about each city to help you make your choice. Good luck!
London is where we put all the cunts, if you go to London please don't consider it representative of the rest of the UK. As for recommendations it really depends what your after, city or country, modern or historic. I'll have to put in a good word for Birmingham of course, and country wise then the 3 counties, Hereford in general and the welsh border region are all beautiful IMHO. Me and me mam have often times just gone for a drive down the A44 (allegedly the most dangerous road in Europe) and just see how far we can be bothered to drive.
