Best way to grind if you don't have a grinder?

I dont get grinders whats the big deal? Does it make that much of a difference if you use your hands or not?
I would buy one just to see but the ones ive seen are all 10$ and up.

 

If you want a quick way to grind some up for a blunt/joint AND you want to make your cooking a lot more fun, buy a Magic Bullet. They advertise them on TV and stuff, and it works great for breaking up bud. Also, you can scrape for kief with a Q-tip afterwards, or just leave it in there to add some kick to your next meal.

 

agreed. if you take enough time you can get weed just as fine as a grinder

what? there is no way you could get even the slightest high out of breaking up bud. your fingers will absorb minuscule amounts of thc, no where near noticeable.

I use my fingers 2! That way i have the smell of weed on my fingers all day

 

Grinders are more quick but you can just use your hands pick out the seeds and stems..

 

I think that grinders a an extra bit of stuff to carry around and lose. (At which point the manufacturers make another sale. Ch-Ching!)

Fingers work fine.

If one is in the "grind for keif" club and have mislaid the grinder, one can cushion the fingers with a rolling paper. If it hasn't torn, roll the J in that. If it has, shake the keif into the J.

 

fingers may work fine....but grinders are so much more convienient and i would much rather use one than have my lazyass tear buds apart. i do like breaking buds apart with hands sometimes...but if im going to roll a blunt or joint i waould really like a grinder. makes the process go from 5 minutes to like 1.

I always use my fingers to grind up my weed but if it's real fresh then I'll use scissors.

 

use your hands or a blender/barmix

this thread is hillarious to me. fingers are a last resort, for sure. it gets all over your fingers, you squash the weed, gets under fingernails, etc. i think its foolish to use hands if you have a tool that can do it better. it is also not a good idea to have weed all over your fingers! everyone i know considers scissors to be standard. we consider the 'chop' to be the first stage, and the chopper has plenty of rights and privelages.

scissors only suck when you are out and about - thats when a grinder is best. People dont use grinders over here for a simple reason - they cost 20 bucks or more. scissors? there are scissors everywhere hahaha

otherwise a good electric mull is unbeatable.

 

lol that's not true, yeah it get all over my fingers but I just brush it off and onto the joint, I don't squash the bud I rip off a piece and then roll in between my fingers so that it breaks down, and I've never had it get under my nails because I cut them lol.

 

I prefer a ginder myself and I do have the keif catcher also. I think it is the best thing in the world and makes for a really great storage unit for my ground up weed. However, I will say that I get less stems and such when I hand pick out a big fat bud. I used to sit and watch TV while I ground up some shit. I will say it was calming and the antisapation of getting some new bud ground was better then but I still love my grinder. And I will say that sticking a nuget into a bowl directly with out breaking it up first is stupid. The air flow is all off and then there are some areas of the bud that don't burn as well. I used to do the same thing before I was educated. Have fun and Happy Hunting.

Buddha fish, im struggling to imagine what sort of weed or method you are using because without nails, you would have to use your flesh to pinch the weed, in doing so squashing it every time you handle it.

but you mention rolling it between your fingers to break it up? ive just never seen weed that does that except weed thats unusually dry and uncompressed
