I live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and each year out here Windsor Church has a teen gun-giveaway. This year they were planning to give a semi-automatic assault rifle to a teen. It was canceled this year because the pastor hurt his foot but next year they're planning to give it away. I just found out about it today and I'm completely against it. So does anyone have any ideas on how to stop them from giving it away next year? Because I can't think of anything that would most likely work.

    Ummm...

I think you should get the gun and blow the pastor's head off...

That'll teach 'em. EDIT: That'll teach 'em to send kids out lookin' for "faith". I'm sure a lot of people have found faith in a gun.

Seriously though....That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
How long until one of those guns does "accidently go off" and a bullet goes through someone's head?

Exactly and the crime rate in Oklahoma City is so high already. A couple of years ago I went to a really bad middle school and there were fights nearly everyday...no one ever got killed. But how easy would it be for a thirteen year old to kill someone with that gun because he didn't like the other persons shoes.

I had a lot of guns when I was a teen. I never shot anyone.

I don't think that they should give a TEEN a gun, but I don't see any harm giving away a firearm.

Are you one of those freaks that wish to do away with the Second Amendment?

A gun given away by a church won't be used to commit crimes. The guns used to commit crimes are illegally obtained. Anyway, the focus should be on the criminals and not the tools they use.

The vast majority of criminals get their guns by illegal means, not from church giveaways or a gun store or pawnshop.

Yeah...but every criminal starts somewhere, and having a gun just handed to you isn't a bad way to start committing crimes.

What if one of the kids they give a gun to, goes nuts a year later and shoots up his school?

that may be true but I know some kids in my high school that go to church all the time but it doesn't stop them from getting in fights. I personally don't think criminals care where they get their guns as long as they have them.
