I thought it was incredible, they really put on a great show, as was expected, The Chinese really wanted to step up on the world stage, and it showed. However I hated the part where the guy was running around the top of the stadium to light the torch. I love the design and concept of it, that was awesome, the part I hated were the shots of people carrying the olympic torch around the world on that LCD screen, because it was really all just a lie.

You know the Chinese people are completely ignorant to all the Tibetan protests, They did a good job of censoring it all from them, they have no clue what was going outside, that pissed me off. What annoys me more is that no country/leader has the balls to say anything to them, because they're too scared, even America, they don't want to piss of the Chinese government.

So while it was an incredible show, the whole facade of "everything is fine" put me off really liking and accepting it.

I'm not too crazy about the Chinese government right now, and their policies with the Olympic games aren't helping their cause.

The 1936 Berlin Olympics were the way the Nazis came out on the international stage as well...

If the Chinese want to step up on the world stage, that's fine, but they should reform the government first. They make our state here in America seem like a utopia.

Man, fuck the Olympics. The IOC should have taken Bejing right off the table from day one. Their industries pollute far worse than the US, their human rights offenses are atrocious, their brand of Socialism is perverted and ultra-classist and their treatment of so-called "satellite states" is criminal.

I hope they go broke trying to impress a world that is falling apart and could give two shits. Fuck em.

I really loved the opening ceremonies. They had to have been amazing to keep me interested for three and a half hours.

I am. But it was mesmerizing. It was amazing they could pull off such intricate things at such a large scale.

When it rains at Pennsic we play naked skull ball. It's like soccer but we use a Roman's head and of course, we play naked.
