so... I just got the 3 rings of death on my xbox (thought it would never happen to me). im confused though, it still works ok i can turn it on still and it seems fine. should i forget about it or what?
Play it till it dies. I've seen them go down within a day of the RRoD. Our housemate's current xbox got the ring about a month ago and has been fine since. It's a bit of a mystery. Just brace yourself for when it does go down and you gotta wait for the refurb.
be reall carefull with it, id advice keep it in a very ventilated place, if it works still, consider you just dodged a bullet, but still have a huge cut on your artery, possible to stop the bleeding, but possible to die also. ps3 been getting YLD (yellow light of death), allthough its much rarer. wish you luck
Mine just got it for the second time, first time was less then 6 months ago and it was fixed for free by microsoft it worked fine until I recharged my controller. there is a recharhgeable battery pack you can buy from microsoft and when it dies it plugs into the 360 to recharge. It had worked fine for like a year and last time plugging it in made the 360 start blinking red, and now it wont turn on anymore. I swear I am just going to get a PS3, most games come out for both and the ps3 dosn't break.
Mine froze when i brought it to school and when i turned it back on it had 3 rings of death and nothing came up. My brother peeled the warranty sticker off so i couldn't get a new one I fixed it by wrapping it in towels and over heating it but that evntually stopped working.
