I have returned

Well last night a signed myself out of the horrid rehab program that the law forced me to attend... It was the worst 2 months of my life. The place was hell if there was one, the program was completly inhumane. In a nutshell, your forced to repeat the same pointless tasks over and over and over daily. I was forced to clean even when nothing was dirty, just for the sake of cleaning, over and over and over. Thats what machines do. I am an intelligent life form not a robot. The people that had been there for 8 months almost brought tears to my eyes. Completly brainwashed, completly loveless. I have suffered so greatly the 2 months I was there, battling to keep my sanity. I feel alot better now, I have been with my girlfriend non stop but I am not myself. I am probably going to go to jail for a month but that beats 5 more months in rehab so I kind of lucked out. I am in need of a re wireing asap:smash:

 

What bullshit myths and lies did they tell you, and for what drug did you get caught with for going?

Sadly it was L. The drug tests now have an LSD option and I did fail for it. But that is beside the point. Expanding my mind is my business.

rehab is practically jail. fuck that I'd do it. a month in jail aint really shit, thats what you gotta spend down here anyways if you get arrested and have no bond money. it takes 21 days for arraignment, and if you got no bond money you gotta spend those 21 days locked up, happens a lot down here.

way better 30 days than 5 months IMO.

 

Right before I left there was sunshine everywhere in my town. I come back and its dry, what a bummer. I should be able to find some soon, but I may not be able to. Oh and I actually have a much huger desire to use drugs now than before I went to that place.

 

damn rehab for acid, never heard that one before. I know a few people though that had to go to rehab for pot during high school. I don't know much about rehab but I assume it only works if you actually want to stop.

First of all, I think you missed the entire point of rehab. They are trying to teach you structure and routine; something that most heavy drug users and drug addicts do not have in their lives. That is why you were cleaning - it wasn't "pointless". They're just trying to give you guys something to do.

I've been in rehab many times and it isn't all bullshit. If you actually let your walls down, and listen to what they're telling you, it can be very useful and long-lasting changes. Not all of them are bad.

When you talk about "brainwashing", what exactly do you think drug culture has done to your brain? It's ALL brainwashing. They're trying to brainwash you BACK to their side. So don't make it sound like they are the enemy. Rehabs have a lot of good people working in them, people that really just want to help others.

 

i think it's more of a case of people being too far removed from each other's lives to understand that just because "they" have what they think are your best interests in mind doesn't mean that they are right and justified in trying to alter or change you.

and choosing "sides"...regardless of the level of brainwashing..has to be a choice that YOU make for yourself.

Its really nice to have you back. I know it looks now terrible that what happened to you, but in a few years you'll be laughing at it. Time heals everything, what is important is that you are still you and that nobody can take that away from you.
Nice to hear also that you have support from your girfriend, its always beautiful to see love winnig the battle.

 

Not really. I know exactly what its all about, and to be honest I dont want that level of structure in my life. I dont want everyday to be a routine, I do not want to live my life by a system. Machines do that. I will live the way I want to live.
