Okay, so ever since I was a kid, I've had this dream, and I was wondering if anyone could interpret it for me.

My family and I are on vacation in a swamp.
We're staying in this little shack, with a boardwalk coming from nowhere leading to it.
There's darkness all around except for the crocodile filled water surrounding the shack/boardwalk.
    Everything is purple.
And it is located on the inside of a turkey's stomach, and every hour, instead of a clock chiming, the turkey gobbles and the whole place shakes.

Ok, why a turkey's stomach? There can be no explaining that.

Please, how does this reoccurring dream make you feel? That would help identify a meaning.

Maybe the helplessness actually is unconscious empathy for turkeys that are eaten by humans!!!...?

My opinion is that the crocodile is the threat in your dreams.
You must pass this 'board' with your family, avoiding the threat of the 'crocodile', to 'get to the other side'.

My guess is that you feel insecure, feel trapped. You do not have the confidence to overcome an obstacle in life (This 'crocodile') and to make your way through the swamp if you do even get past it, which you highly doubt.
So, I think this dream is linked to emotions of feeling quite insecure and trapped, and you feel helpless because you don't have the confidence to overcome the obstacles with your family to exit this swamp, which I'm guessing represents the cage you feel your stuck within and need to get out of.
*EDIT* Oh, and I almost forgot!
The gobbling of this turkey would represent time, which you feel is running out. The constant gobbling is signifying that time is running out, but since a clock randomly being in this shack in a swamp isn't valid in the scenery, your mind associated the crocodile with another animal, which your mind also thinks may represent time. You probably meant to dream up a rooster, but hey, dreams make mistakes. :) I'm sure your mind meant to dream up a rooster and not a turkey! =D

=D Hope that little theory helped. D= (Jeez, I type too much. )

    Thanks guys.
I'm starting to consider that it could have something to do with what you've said.
But I don't think the dream has anything to do with my vegetarianism, because I've been having this dream since I was just a kid.

The darkness portends deep depression while the colour purple may depict a spiritual yearning, ie, that you are a good soul, or are deeply religious (Catholic purple). The road may signify some sort of isolation, that you keep to yourself or that you don't allow others to get too close, that they first must prove themselves worthy of your trust. The crocodile may then signify treachery, that someone close to you who comes off as a protector is really a sheep in wolf's clothing. The crocodile always waits patiently and strikes suddenly and quickly, always hidden in muddy waters. As a reptile he may represent bad luck. Personally, I wouldn't keep anything resembling a croc in my home least it attract bad luck.
