Not really... I mean I watched Cops once or twice and ten mins. of Cheaters and ..hmmm... 20 mins of tru tv... but other then that... yeah... six months now...

I was never hooked on tv and I don't hate it. And I also never intended to just stop watching.. I'm not one of your "kill your tv" types...

But I got tired of it and more into real life... just not interested in general... I'm not sure what I'm noticed, except that I may be more ME and less complacent.

Good on ya. Television is the devil's box.

I don't watch it either (exception:movies)...I suppose it can't be too much worse than the computer, but at least this is more interactive.

I guess I don't see the appeal of the same jokes, storylines and whatnot repeated over and over...the news is alright to see some good stories and I like informative music shows like Popaganda and certain docs and stuff...but I can't be bothered to turn it on anymore, it's a waste of time.

In short, good on ya. (...uh, wait a tic here...)

    Haha undies.

    :D
yeah for real... i didnt try it... i mean when survivor n lost are back on, ill watch them.. if i remember or know... cause when you don't watch tv you dont know or remember.
D had the tv on for a bit today n it annoyed me. He was staring at commercials, rx commercials and just zoning out... I'd rather zone out to things thatwell...allow me to control my thoughts n have the brain waves going but im NOT a tv hater... I just think many ppl. use it wrong...

Sure, there are a couple shows I like n I'll watch them if I feel like it... but that doesn't mean I just zone out to whatever is on. Turn it off unless it's the stuff you really like. Just my opinion. :)

i quit watching the stupid thing, not even to protest the propiganda machine it has become, but simply because its gotten so totally frickin BORING!

i mean, compaired with what i can do myself, on the computer, let alone the internet, the idiot box without cable, which is a complete waste of money i don't have anyway, is just simply a totally nongratifying waste of my time.

cable or mini-dish or something, i'd get for the broadband if that was cheap enough, which it still isn't. but corporate so called entertainment is just so totally blah, so what, even without the coercively slanted subtexts no script gets sponcered without.

so meh. to each there own. if it comes in parts somebody else can have mine.

    =^^=
    .../\...

(its been most of ten years, if not longer, since i've owned or driven a car either, and i've never had an activated credit card of my own nor wanted one. so what's my point? i don't care about points, what i care about is the kind of world i have to live in)

In between me moving out from my parents' house at 17 and me moving in with my fiance last summer, I never owned a TV and never really missed it. I wouldn't wanna give it up now though, I've gotten too hooked on Eastenders.. :D

I think you should join myspace and the cause ...
What cause? I post about it there all the time cause my friends either KNOW and are selfish (some) or ...(others) could know and dont wanna open their eyes though they are seeing with closed eyes a bit... so I post shit for the real cause. Some people here think I'm insane, but I'm not gonna stop (ever!!) saying what I believe... :)

I guess I said that cause I care more about the world then "me"...
and you talk about what type of world... that's what did it for me...
I'm ready to fight for the world we all live in. Even if I seem insane to ppl. who are either, scared, dumb or just don't give a fuck. :)

I haven't owned a TV the whole 17 months that I have been here at the canyon. Quite a few people have asked how I could stand living without 1 and 4 different people have offered to give me a TV but I refused all of them.

    I have a computer...what the hell do I need a TV for?

I dislike the whole childish obsession with not watching TV and counting the time you haven't watched it, as if it's some sort of drug.

People should have enough self control to be able to watch a show or two once in a while and then just leave the damn medium alone. I rarely watch TV, but I honestly wouldn't mind turning one on and watching Seinfeld or some sports thing on it. No Catholic guilt about it here.

yeah pick the shows you like, watch em. and turn it off and tune into real life the rest of the time. turning it on to turn it on seems hella lame to me.

Other than the history channel (it's progressively getting worse too), discovery, and OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting, they play a lot of cool nature shows) I can't watch any TV. Even those channels I find very hard to watch, because of all the stupid commercials that people buy in to. I never really make a point to watch TV, but sometimes it's on at a house I'm at and I'll catch a bit of something. Not the "kill your TV" type either, but I would definetely encourage people to do something other than watching it.

Yeah I'll prolly go thru a time where I watch it a bit more.. I only said about how long it's been really cause I've never went this long before... and didn't try it.. it was just natural.
