Does anyone have information on the folks who were filming at the Gathering this year? They filmed the Angel Walk w/o asking one night, and a few days later I heard them being yelled at for not asking permission yet again.
i aparently was on the news.......in moscow! a russian freind saw it and i didnt know (or care) that i was being filmed
I really think that if people are filming at Gatherings that they should carry a big sign stating that they are filming. Personally, I hate being filmed or photographed and would really yell at someone who violated my privacy in that manner (unless they were filming leos & I accidently wound up in the way)
I am bringing my camcorder to the next gathering and recording the officers and any other violent crime. I want to make that clear, if (not that I have ever seen violence at the gathering that didnt come from officers) a violent crime occurred in front of me for any reason. I will record it. Anyway I totally respect peoples privacy. However I want people to realize that if there is an incident going on with the officers/violence. That I will be reordering them and the people around them. I would never otherwise record a person without there permission, however sometimes I think its going to be just necessary. However I plan on getting lots of peoples permission, and getting lots of really positive stuff from the gathering on video. I want to focus on all the positive stuff and hope nothing negative happens again. I want to spread the word of what the rainbow family gathering is really about, because I can sure see there are lots of misconceptions out there.
A lot of undercover cops come to gatherings and video tape family. An x b/f and I were taped in CO. He grabbed my hand and we walked away. We were not doing anything incriminating, but we have a problem with our faces on a database somewhere. Not all filmers are undercovers, but some are. Be careful. I agree, people who are filming should have a sign or shirt that states what they are doing.
