I've had a lot of time to kill lately so I decided to record a cover of "for no one" by the beatles. But I'm having a lot of trouble because I have no idea how to record for shit and I like everything to sound perfect, so those two things combined make it difficult. Here is what I have so far. Let me know if you think it's worth finishing. full song: http://boomp3.com/listen/bzq30gews_6/the-beatles-for-no-one-cover
Tips on recording sheesh... I'm just starting my degree in multimedia design and creation. Basically, find a really good mic and some decent software. But if it's just for bullshitting around/fun, who really cares? I listened to it and it's not all that bad. Quality is nice so you're doing something right.
I was really surprised of the quality myself, as this is the microphone I'm using haha: It's an apple mic from like 10 years ago that I found in my mess of wires
I finished it. I kind of half-assed it, but it was just for shits and giggles. If I get the chance I'll go back and try and clean it up a bit. But for now.. http://boomp3.com/listen/bzq30gews_6/the-beatles-for-no-one-cover
Oh wow, it's really good. I enjoyed it greatly. It actually sounds very Simon and Garfunkel-y. Sing me a song! ;D
