I'm sick of "I wish I lived in the 60's" kind of talk. No offense to those who lived in that era (you gave us insight and confidence to take the plunge as well) but we need to stop referring to that time as the height of our culture's era. We have the means to bring this kind of stuff back, but we're afraid. Not enough of us are taking large steps. We need to bring back events such as the acid tests, setting up more communes, promoting the non-materialist views! But we've got some hurdles. Right now it seems like the whole "peace, love, hippie" ideal is a fashion statement, with many kids taking it up too look cool or retro. Also our soundwaves are polluted with meaningless stuff, drowning out the truly inspirational and soul shaking art that remains in the shadows. Another big hurdle is the government's crackdown on psychedelics. Quality LSD is not a feasible or reasonable. We should move to more organic alternatives (cacti, mushrooms, etc...) because it's incredibly difficult to fight Mother Nature, but a chemist is easy to lock away. These are just some ideas, and half baked at that. But I want to see a revival! We've got the scuff, we just need to take action! With the economy taking a dip we've got the perfect platform. Being green is popular, let's help them make that extra step! :cheers2:
I don't like it eather when people don't live today And boicot big companies and don't forget Beijing olympians!
Oh man, the Beijing olympics is ridiculous. Hopefully all the pollutants don't wreck the competitors lungs.
