Cool man those look nice ...mine are almost 30 days old and my hair is pretty straight as well...any suggestions other that leave it alone and neglect it? Mine is getting frizzy on the ends and some loose hair but seems to be locking. Kudos and luck to us both but if ya got any suggestions send me a message.

    Thanks guys..
Its funny how some people try all kinds of crazy stuff to try and get dreads. But the key really is to just wash with residue free soap/shampoo and time(I did backcomb though when I started them).
I got to mention though, in case no one looked on the first page. It has been 2 months since I first made this thread. So in the pics at the top of this page, they are at 3 months now.

what do you think about sea salt spray(probably left without rinsing)? will it hasten things up for the hair to lock up faster?? hmmm??

A sea salt spray will do that indeed.
I also noticed when I used it for the first few weeks of my process, a few times I diddnt rinse it out. And my scalp would get really dry though, One should definatly rinse it out though after you let it sit for a few minutes. I havent used any for a month or so.. But Im thinking I might start again?

definately would not recommend leaving any sort of salt in ya head. it will crack and end up sore and possibly infected.just leave it to knot together itself.. ileft mine to dread naturally but i have afro hair, took about 6 months to get some sort off shape :)
    just be patient.it will come

hmm.. i thinking hardcorely to leave it most probably. what if i carefully apply it "just" to the hair? i guess that should do the trick. never put some(even the slightest bit) to the scalp. suggestions anyone? haha. pretty thick headed ayt. xD
