I am pretty psyched about my hike tommorrow morning starting at 4:20 am..do some trail blazing and then start on a 7.2 mile hike upward with over 4000 ft elevation gain...spend the night up top and then come down Sunday morning Life is good
lol,, we thought all normal people got up at 4:20,,i know i do,,even without a alarm.. i just wake up,,..
our roosters start around 3:30.. so i dont wake up when they crow either..well,,i dont get up,,i doze till 4:20.. lol
I used too, but I been working the night shift for aboot ten years now, 4 am comes real early, but it is the time I am setting on my clock for monday.
i love farmer time.. the transition of night to day is wonderful to me.. all the sounds of the birds waking up,the mist that is always here at dawn.. i dunno i just love having been up a hour or so and have gotten good and awake by daylight.. it makes getting out and greeting the day so fulfilling..
Forgot to update and finish this thread.. Great hike up to Cucamonga Peak in the San Gabriel Mountain Range..Spent 2 nights on the mountain..the view was great..smoked weed a few times..adventured around..climbing rocks.. the hike up took over 9 hours..my pack was way to heavy..my friend slept in a hammock and a blanket and was pretty cold by Sunday morning..because of the 60 mph wind gusts..haha..I thought it was funny..hiked down at 5 am..then ate a huge breakfast at a mom and pop breakfast place.. Doing Mt. Baldy in a few weeks..looking forward to it.
I couldn't imagine how serene it would be to see the world from there, probably get a new perspective of it...
wow. those are some amazing pictures hon. Still stacking rocks huh? i always thought that weird. much love.
Mt Baldy is a nice hike. There are some cool looking windswept gnarled trees around the treeline, great views along the way and at the peak, too. Are you gonna stay overnight up there?
