Ok the facial hair above my lip never fully comes off whenever I shave. When I rub my finger down wards on the hair it feels like its just skin, but when I slide my finger up I can feel the hair stick up and there is kind of a lot. The only technique that get its fully off is taking my razor, holding it upside down, and shaving upwards on the skin. Is this okay to do? When my dad taught me how to shave I remember him saying something about shaving like that can cause in grown hairs. If anyone can help me out that'd be great.
That's what I do, I shave down with the grain and then back against it. If you have a decent beard growing I'd put shaving cream on twice...that's how I was taught anyway lol
I always like to shave after a shower and use hair conditioner rather than that paint stripping gel. Different razors make a difference too. My razor of choice is the Gillette Fusion with 4 blades.
1) What does it look like. Does it looks smooth? 2) What does she say? Does she think your shaving is suficiantly smooth? In a few years, once your face gets used to growing hair, you can give up shaving without looking like a poorly seeded lawn.
I always shave up on my lip and well everywhere really, I go down to get most of it but to get a clean shave you gotta go against the grain and for most people on their lip anyways that means going up.
personally I can not shave against the hairs, leaves my skin really dry and sore. it could be as simple as your razor needing replacement, though.
do it any way you want up or down as long as you have a sharp razor and lubricant (hot water or shaving creme) you'll be fine
I cant shave upwards. It'll destroy my face. It may your's too when your hair gets coarser. Like has been said before, be sure to rinse the blade every couple strokes. That will help.
Use that stuff that make facial hair stand up. I forget the name, but I have no doubt you've seen the commercial.
