Police Officer Assualts Critical Mass Protestor

The Activist group, Critical Mass, stages large bicycle rides to promote urban bicycling. They tend to piss off the local police, who's lives are complicated by hundreds of bicycles suddenly turning up on busy streets.
The police are frequently violent when dealing with these activists, and just recently, a NYC cop violently pushed a rider off his bike. The Officer charged the bicyclist with intentionally running his bike into the officer and resisting arrest.

Fortunately, the incident was videotaped, and in the video you can clearly see the officer walk out of his way to intercept the bicyclist. You can also see the bicyclist tried his best to avoid hitting him, and would have succeeded if the office hadn't waited until the bicyclist was next to him to violently shove him off of his bike and tackle him.

But geezzze on the TODAY show all is well in New York.....

 

There isn't enough opposition to police misconduct. People are so diverted by all the other crap going on in the modern day, it just floats on by them for the most part.

This results in a kind of permission for it to continue.

I think we're being overstimulated as part of the strategy to gain control over us. Its easy to swat one or two knats in your face. Get into a cloud of them, you can have your pocket picked and never notice it.

actually Im thinking simular shit towards violence and gun play thats been going on in my city, well where I used to live...
They are allowing the neighborhoods to be overtaken by drugs and guns so they can build thier casino... Along the ohio river.. PGH PA...

Could we send it to them? They may have already gotten it, but it would make a statement, I think if many people sent it to the powers that be- that this is unacceptable. Just because he doesn't agree with a certain group doesn't mean he gets to beat them up... especially when the only reason he was there was to maintain order.

 

Critical mass has taken legal action in other cases where they filmed police assaults, they will this time too.

I'm not defending the cops, but has anyone had a run in with this group? They ride around Atlanta and pretty bring the area their riding in to a stand still. I often hear people say they wish to get a large SUV and use them has bowling pins.

 

Now that is frustration and hate in one of it's purest form.
