Remember those movies that were guaranteed to sit you down and shut you up for an hour so your parents could get grown-up things done? Tommy Tricker and the Stamp Traveller, Short Circuit and The Neverending Story were my parents' most relied upon. What are some other ones?
Short Circuit was absolutely groovy...some others: The Lion King, Weird science, and I was always a sucker for horror movies, especially the 80s horror movies, even though I was so young, like the exorcist, nightmare on elm street, return of the living dead, etc. ( No I wasnt a morbid child its just what I liked haha)
as a child i would watch lady and the tramp over and over and over! i also liked disneys robin hood. hahahahaha. and my sister and i loved babes in toyland. hahahaha.
When I was a kid...I loved Blackbeard's Ghost and Computer Wore Tennis Shoes. I know...two Disney flicks.
The movie that captivated me the most when I was a kid was "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" I bet no other kid on the planet enjoyed this movie as much as I did. What I loved was to see the adults yelling at each other. There was only stifled silence in the home I grew up in.
I always loved Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and Beetlejuice. Roger Rabbit seemed like such a great film at the time, I still like it but I've grown out of Beetlejuice.
I remember liking Shipwrecked (With Gabriel Byrne) The Peanut Butter Solution, George's Island and Labyrinth.
Matilda was the fav at the time. But then and now they can shut me up for hours with felix the cat and gumby
i was in love with beauty and the beast.i think i'd watch it every week. cats don't dance is another people often forget about.soo good. what ever happened to disney?
disney makes me want to puke my guts out! my parents tried to force me to watch that disney shit. i was one strange kid, hated disney, but loved frankenstine, the screaming skull etc. my parents thought i was one sick fuck of a kid.
Damn I remember back in the day... Disney (lion king, pocahontas, robin hood, they were good), The Adventures of Milo and Otis (so great!), The Land before Time was also a favourite
