Albin0's comments lead me to believe that correct terminology is almost always the best policy. Sadly, all-too-often, using slang when refering to genitalia leads to a vast and broad ignorance of one's own genitals.

I think I'm gonna puke blood the next time I hear some girl talking about shaving her VAGINA. Uh ... hello - the vagina has no hair! The Mons pubis, however has plenty to shave, if that's your speed.

Using euphamistic terms may be endearing, but overused, it quickly leads to people (and especially girls) having NO idea how to refer to their various parts. And that's just plain criminal for a woman not to know the difference between a vulva and a vagina.

I completely agree! Using "crude" terms is SUCH a turn-off for me. They are vulgar, and not the slightest bit sexual.

there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with saying Vulva, Vagina, Clitoris, Labia or even commenting on how beautiful her Mons is covered with all that silky pubic hair.

See, THOSE terms are pretty and feminine.

On the other hand, I find it quite crass to talk about her pussy, f**k hole, love-button, pussy-flaps or minge. These are essentially the sorts of words you would hurls an angry invectives, not loving descriptors.

I'm in between, I guess. Button, I guarantee no woman wants to hear you say "vulva". But "****" gets boring too. It takes both, doesn't it? (Except for "vulva." No one should ever say that word ever again.)

WTF! I couldn't vote in this poll because both are appropriate. Depends on the context as several have stated here.

I write porn. So, fellatio and cunnilingus, won't do the same as a sucking cock, blowjob, and eatin' pussy. Also sexual intercourse will not do as well as fuck.

When giving my HIV/AIDS class it is technical terms; anus, vagina, penis, labia, breasts, arreola.

Sometimes in the porn I say labia, other times it is lips, depending on where I'm at in the story. **** is really down there and has impact in porn, just like cock. Dick is a lighter form, just like pussy. Clitoris is clit and any "pearl in the oyster" terminology is sorta dated.

Someone mentioned people using technical terms inappropriately such as vagina when they mean vulva. I hate it when guys refer to shooting "sperm." While that is technically correct the sperm are a minuscle part of "semen" which is the majority of fluid from other organs than the testes. So I wish those guys would just go ahead and say cum or spunk.

Context and appropriateness is probably the answer to this poll.

I agree with Shale..both are appropriate, depending on the context. I wouldn't think of saying " Oh baby..fuck my vagina" , "I want to suck your penis", "Lick my clitoris"..it's "Oh baby..Fuck my pussy", " I want to suck your cock" " Lick my clit".. "I'm going to see my OBGYN today as I have to get my yearly pussy examination " just doesn't sound right..lol

I use both terminologies. It depends on the situation and people who I'm talking to.
