I've been listening to Cat Power's "You Are Free". I bought it almost a year ago. I guess this is the first album she's released in four years since, "moon pix". Some people think it is a mediocre album, but I think it is profound in its simplicity. That's what's wonderful about it. It's tiny music. It doesn't have to be spectacularly complex. Chan Marshall's voice is raspy and beautiful. The song "Maybe Not" is one of my favorites. You have to hear it to understand why I like it soo much. I'll share the lyrics though.
