Okay first of all before I get harassed about being a bullshitter or any of that let me just say I heard about this today from my good friend about another one of my buddies who had just returned from Colorado. According to him my other friend while in Colorado happened to meet the bus driver and guitar player from Moe.(significance of the bus driver im not sure). The guitarist claimed that Phish had just recently purchased four tour buses. As to how the guitarist knew this information im not sure, and at this point its still all speculation but I figured itd be an interesting topic to discuss. It didnt suprise me much seeing as how a reunion is looking pretty good in the next year or two. Discuss? I know my friend is not lying about whatever he heard but im skeptical as to how they knew said information.
you're a little out of loop... but yes a potential re-union is looming...i don't know about your tour bus story, but they will be back with in the next two years...
I'd seriously question BUYING the buses, but reserving rentals would be logical, this time of year, for next summer. Four buses? they still don't like each other enough.
I know four buses seemed a little iffy but eh who knows, I'm already starting a phish fund to follow them for a leg of their tour. They did play together a little at Rothbury so its a little hard to think they didn't say a damn word to each other, minus paige sadly not quite sure why he wasn't there.
there has been more than one 3/4 phish get together....Rothbury was by no means the sign of them coming back...
and one has to wonder what they'll be like with new influences, and new senses of who they are musically.
well, i am very hopeful....i think the future of phish is bright. Trey is no longer on the junk thank god. This will lend its self to a much better band than we saw between 02-04. But 02-04 had to happen, there was some epic music made within that madness. Trey's disgusting (i say that in a good way) 2004 tone lent itself to some amazing jams...the tone could have been put away for some of the songs, but thats another story. but i do not want to hear any of the newer trey material from the album "Shine"...Phish is much better than that and I hope the reason he broke up phish in 04 was so he could write that music and spare phish from playing it. its trite, uninspired music that is way below phish. i think some of the mike solo material and the page solo material (from the vida blue era, not his latest crap bag) would also be an awesome introduction.... then i want to hear new phish music. i want those amazing, complex, weird songs like Guyute and Fluff to be written again. I want Phish back. A show that is a mix of perfect recreations of their neo-classical tunes and full on exploratory jams that make all these other jambands look like punk-bitches... Phish's return will also be the demise of shite acts like UMs and tdB...it will be good to see them put back on the back burner and third tier stages where they belong...
