When I was 16, I went through the same! well it started at 15, i crushed on 18-19 yr olds, then when i got older, the age got older.... i just went out with a 26 yr old. i love older men. theyre more mature an fun but not like goofy fun like my age. and the best part, they know how to treat a lady :)

I personally think that 16 to 25 is a huge age range. 9 years means a lot more at that age than it does once you're older. 16-year-olds are generally not very mature at all. No decently mature, well-adjusted 25-year-old would be comfortable in such a relationship. That's why you get 25-year-old creeps and losers dating 16-year-olds.

I'm not saying there are no exceptions, but I think they're pretty rare.

well see I wasnt 16. I was 18. I just have a lot more in common with guys in the 20s. Im more mature than ANY 18 yr old girl will ever be. believe me, older guys are SHOCKED when i tell them my age. the oldest age people say i was was 24, but they believed i was 18 cause im like 5-1 and real young looking (which i hate) thats when guys i really start to like, run.

18 yr old guys are still in that 'rebel' stage and i hate it, even 19 yr olds 22-23 are descent. but show me an mature 18 yr old these days and ill start looking around my age ;)

And a comment for the little boy in that nice black mustang of his (oh i gotta be impressed by him just because i graduated from high school) Psst. whatever man. Not all girls are easy whores that will 'blow you every day'

See what I mean by the young guys? They take every thing dumb and not true and put it together just to judge someone on their age.

ANY girl of ANY age is impressed by nice things a guy has. not just those litle horny, easy HS girls. oh! including those University girls which I might add, probably have money and is looking for fancier things in life- so you better upgrade that mustang to a camero honey buns!

and BTW 20 yr olds and 18 yr olds are DAMN WELL together. 18 yr olds need a man not a little boy such as yourself thinking that....

That is NOWHERE NEAR being true. In fact, it is the complete opposite.
The brain develops neuro-networks as you age.

The last part of the brain develops completely after puberty (which isn't fully completed until around 19-20 for girls and even later for guys). [This also rules out your entire "she's 16, out of puberty she can make her own decisions" crap.]

This last part of the brain to mature is the FRONTAL LOBE, which, if you know anything about how the brain works, is where reasoning is taken place.

The frontal lobe judges and weighs pros and cons of situations and this is where you actually make your decisions on topics.
This is why you see younger people do stupid shit, because their frontal lobe is not fully developed.

So your entire "age is just a number" deal is not entirely true. Age reflects itself on the body, obviously. And seeing as how the brain is a part of the body, it also reflects itself on mental states.

Now, as far as this topic goes, I think that the OP probably has a history of abuse or some sort of traumatic experience. She probably sees these loser 20-something year olds and think they offer something much more, but she doesn't see that they are just losers and have nothing going for them.

OP, you are missing out on your childhood, you should be focusing on other things. Go out to parties, hang out with friends (any age, just don't fuck em), date boys in highschool.

Once you get to about 25, I will almost guarantee that you will look at guys dating 16 year-olds and you will just be grossed out.

    That is all

Nope, you're too young for him. The trouble it will cause won't probably affect you in anyway, but rather to the 25 year old.

Age IS a factor. You're still going through puberty and school no doubt. If you begin to say 'age isn't a problem if it's love/romance', you're also saying that love is limitless, which it isn't. If it was limitless then why are peadophiles so much of a controversy and taboo?

I have heard that the difference between 18 and 25 is not the same as 28 and 35 years old.
