What country are you from, I would love to know because your perception of our freedoms are totally off. America is filled with prejudices and there are many countrys who are disappointed with us/them. Our government is filled with corruption, greed, and indifference towards its people. What the hell would you know about OUR LIVES; the middle and lower classes of this country are indebted to capitalism and we are controlled by the "every man for himself" socioeconomic dogma that our government and corporations inflict on us. Its unfortunate that your country does not take care of you (you seem to insinuate that), our country takes care of the rich and that is about it. G W Bush STOLE 9 TRILLION DOLLARS FROM OUR COUNTRY - his aweful economic and foreign policies have put America, "Land of the Free", in a 7 TRILLION dollar HOLE. I beg you sir to not judge that every damn American has it made in this country as you do not live here...... -Peace-
I live in Canada, spend lots of time in the US, and what i see (now mind you i view it as a tourist) is that people who dont put anything into life allways whine and complain about how bad they have it and how the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor B.S. I figure it is your fault that you didnt make anything of your life not anybody els' (not you but in general) I dont think that everybody in the states has it made, but only the ones who worked their buts off for it. Is this not capitalism at its finest? Living in socialist Canada i am in a hole, I dont like wasting my hard earned money for some bum's (who spends his life doing nothing but smoking pot and breaking the law), healthcare wellfare, etc...
This year’s election is just like Zimbabwe’s election crisis with Robert Mugabe but on a different light. These two candidates were hand chosen by the powerful rich not the public, the rigged votes & their beasts of mainstream media just helped in position. These are two puppet candidates that no one wants. Mainly due to their fucking out of touch reality, but this doesn't matter they'll just obey the special interest groups like prostitutes do to pimps. Hear about the democrat’s in Denver? Their giving all the homeless in the area free movie passes which are located on the other side of town so they won't be in the spot light the day the democratic national convention comes to town. http://www.nypost.com/seven/07172008/news/nationalnews/dems_tell_homeless__dont_spoil_our_party_120273.htm Good people are coming homeless on a daily bases in this country & it's fucking disgusting that the politicians on both sides don't even acknowledge this existence. We're not in a recession, we're on the tip of depression.
That's a bunch of bullshit, you feed into moral fantasy crap. If you don't have family to help you out you're basically screwed due to the present circumstances. I know guys whom worked their ass off most their lives, they an't got shit out of it, they still live in their room apartments paying their bills waiting until one day they get hurt at they're jobs & are force out onto the streets. The way the government & the rich has it, you're just in a revolving door of working for them & getting no where by doing it fast. You'll continue to do this until you die or you do something about it by force. Other wise they could give a rats ass, cuz if you don't do their work they'll just get some other sucker to do it for them. (Probably an immigrate illegal or not)
Well, socialism does seem to be morally conducive to living happier, at least this is the case for scandinavian countrys like Denmark, The Netherlands, Sweden. Canada does not seem to be taking care of its citizens (with your viewpoint in mind), and this is the same with the USA. Except America is much farther in debt, involved in a very costly war, run by corrupt oil, big business men - greedy demons... In the USA living costs or the bare minimum to live a "decent life" keeps increasing; all while the rich are benefitting from lower taxes and the middle class is paying for the bill of this administrations political fallacies. Life should be more simple with peace and sustainability in mind; America's government and socioeconomic/ corporate "leaders" keep forcing Americans into a vicious cycle of buying, spending, accompanied by high interest rates for corporate profit. All this while many low-income and middle class citizens are having to spend more and more money on gas and transportation (Add insurance and maintenance - high costs). All of these day to day, repetitive social "tasks" are more or less time-wasting, and these "obligations" feed a greedy capitalist society. I will not be a social puppet, life must be simpler and society needs to be SUSTAINABLE (people who want to live simple lives suffer the most in a greedy non-regulated capitalist society). Whats wrong with socialism and taxes, they take care of EVERYONE within their society?? I think that is a good thing!! But alas everyone cannot be happy - or maybe we can - the capitalist system that only promotes MATERIALISM and not true HappinesS is the cause of Americans woes. Our government does not take care of us and Americans need to STAND tall and DEMAND better. Fuck fulfilling society's role to live "happily" by spending and buying - I will live happy on my own terms (as long as those terms do not harm anyone or thing else), this should be EVERY HUMANS god-given right!! "Welcome my son, welcome to The Machine.... What did you dream?, its alright we told you what to dream" -Peace, Pragmatism and Sustainability my friends - We must live those words.
Yesterday I've put my resignation from current work. I want to be free for a while. I'm leaving everything I had for last 4 years. Everything what I need is now my bicycyle, some food each day and place to sleep. I'm leaving my job in N. Ireland where I worked for US company. Really good people, fine friends but I need to feed my soul. Food can be partly found in the forests, I have a shelter: tent and in houses of my friends. I'm going to travel. Travel impoves our stirit life. Life is a journey. One can be happy and free if has a freedom inside. Wish me luck.
Yes, a very different light. Check out: http://www.sokwanele.com/map/all_breaches and see if you still feel the same way.
"Yesterday I've put my resignation from current work. I want to be free for a while." Good for you, it takes someone who is very self-conscious about themselves and their true freedoms to walk away from things like demanding jobs. I am only 20 but I do not foresee myself ever partaking in a demanding job. I like to write, I have good moral opinions; I will use these skills to attempt to live a truly free life. Society just shouts demands to its people at this point, we need to start shouting back and say "enough".
Umm... now that you're leaving everything that you've had for the last 4 years... Ehh... Can I have it?
You will have it. After 10 years :cheers2: When I was 21 I was asking people for money on the streets. Maybe I'm missing it? Oh well we will see. Now it's freaking time.
Well, if you don't want it anymore... might as well give it to someone who does. Or at least give all of your possessions to charity. If you're gonna talk the talk, you better walk the walk. Or are you too comfortable in this daydream society has created for you?
I have 35 pots with various plants to give, my bicycle, cables, computer parts... I started even to like this place. But I never wanted to spend here all my life. I felt roots growing from my ass. It's time to move.
Well OK. Really? But how you going to transport plants and bicycle to Milwaukee? If you can give me your phone and I'll call you
I'll get some of the people in the UK forum to stop by your house and take everything they like. You don't need it anyhow, and I'm sure that they're good folk.
Well ok. I'm going for it. I would like to know that someone will take care for my plants and bike. I live in Belfast. it's not a joke, I really want to give it first person that will like it. Those are very nice colourfull flowering plants. It would be a pity to leave them for starvation. ONE NEED DRINK you know...
Could we not get off topic here? I found a couple great pieces by Alex Jones that I'd like to show. This one on the government murders of Waco http://youtube.com/watch?v=HooG0IoKrcE Interruption of Fox News & that illegal immigrate ass kisser Geraldo Rivera. Government arrests protesters because they don't have a permit. http://youtube.com/watch?v=zQ27ucTdQaI Government officers Shoot Protester http://youtube.com/watch?v=G63FEamhpA0&feature=related
The government has always been and will always be, the enemy. Their only goal is to turn we humans into robots, or drones in a beehive. Love can destroy their evil wasy of thinking, but it takes a lot of love. While I think there are pockets of love in our society, we would all have to band together to "fight" the Evil Empire our government has become. I am fearful for the future of our country.
