I spend my nights awake and my day times sleeping... Everything here is as it was before \Listen/ I have seen a new sky and a new earth I have walked with my teeth And eaten with my feet There is no recollection of all the between I feel a sacredmiserableincredibledepressing love For everything that grows, everything that lives everything I see... I hear your voice, although spoken a lifetime ago, “There are only two ways to describe the world- Sad and Beautiful” In the midst of this paradox lies the truth It takes such patience to find love For I must let my cries lead me there
Life is built on paradox and now and then we find a place that's peaceful and makes perfect sense. I liked the visionary stuff earlier in the piece. Maybe in the end our second soul will save us.
This one was wonderfully contemplative, and I especially liked the last few stanza's. Do you perhaps think that "sad and beautiful" should be changed to "sad or beautiful" ? I keep wanting to read it that way but I can see why it should stay the way it is.... :sunglasse
