I mean, if you could live anywhere, if you didn't have to worry about citizenship rules, job, family, cost of living etc. Where would you live? Just think about the local culture, food, night life and beauty of the area. I've been to a lot of cool places, but a lot of them were places that I couldn't live in. For instance, NYC (too damn expensive, dirty and crowded.) Cinque Terre, Italy (too small) and SF, CA (The threat of Earthquakes scares the shit out of me.)

I think I would like to live in Switzerland. Or Bavaria. I love mountains (but with mountains you often get earthquakes and volcanos, so that rules out a lot of places.) and I love Europe, I've been over there 6 times. But there is a lot of things that I like about the USA as well, so I dunno.

Hawaii maybe, Hawaii was awesome. Or high up the side of a mountain on an island in the tropics somewhere. It would be cool to live high up, to escape the heat (pardon the pun, yuk yuk!!), but still be able to go down to the beach and go SCUBA diving, etc. Plus the tropics usually have the best food and nightlife and women in little bikinis and miniskirts.

Just a little bit of dreaming

    :)

Well If I could live anywhere without restrictions, I’d live on Io the volcanically active Galilean moon of Jupiter [IMG]

Mm. Either Southern or Northern France would be cool.

I've always had a calling to go to Kenya, some place along the ocean where I could catch wild yellow-fin tuna and watch the rising sun, ride my horse around the ranch and dream in a cabin nestled on the Southern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. I want to climb mountains.

Auckland, Honolulu, Austin, Vancouver, Colorado Springs.

    Different times of the year.

I was going to add Munich too, but I don't wanna learn German just to have a dream house there.

    5's enough.

I'm not sure. I want nice year round weather and to be near the mountains or in the mountains. No humidity...

I'm not sure there are a lot of other things on my list.

There's a couple of problems with the best places to live.
1)The best places are inhabited by the worst people.
For instance , the vast majority of foreign places are inhabited by massive numbers of foreign people : )
2)The best places to live , often have the worst work/ self fulfillment opportunities.

Also even if you have found a paradise to live , with self fulfillment stuff sorted , your best friends etc might still be in a place you think is a hellhole.

Its like those programmes on English TV , like Escape to the Sun.Always middle aged couples, they pick a really nice place , but don't speak the language and find they dont wanna spent the rest of their lives chilling out at the Spanish tomato farmers sports and social club....

I fancy living in a giant airship , travelling to all the major sporting events etc/ and anything else that seems fun.But thats me , recovering acid head mixed with Bond villain tendencies.
