I am in Strasburg!! Well sorta, 12 miles south. Howdy neighbor! I would love to have a bonfire and drumming out this way come summer if you think anyone would be interested. I have the acreage and it's very private. Might be fun?

how long have you been there?
I moved into Littleton a while back (4 years) but I was at the last MayDays.
    I worked for the Scout!
so, south, out past June's country Store and babykiller trailer park, yeah?
I did a neat story on the strawbale neighborhood Eva Craig was planning. Did a fat feature on her house.

I am on CR157 and CR46, way past the baby killer trailer park..LOL. Made me laugh to see your post about what Strasburg is like. My husband has been out here all of his life, he grew up in a house about a mile from our new house, we sold it and already owned this land so we did the renewable energy thing.

I generally love the scout, although they pissed me off last week...LOL. I am huge problems with the way IREA operates and gives out false information. I noticed last week that they used almost the entire section in "letters to the editor" for the chairman of IREA to spew his propaganda on global warming myths and how the energy bill is wrong. Anyway! I hadn't heard about Eva's strawbale project.

I extend an invitation to you to come out and visit. I love having like minded people out here that appreciate what we are trying to do.

how long have you been in Strasburg?
I think the last thing of mine Doug used were Rat dog pix (see my gallery). He was at the show.
IREA really irked me. I complained to the home office about the Xmas/ gospel music all December once. The local office decided to just turn the speakers off, so I had a bunch of mad people yelling in the newspaper office about "the damn Jews." Of which Strasburg boats maybe two families.
I'd asked for non religious carols and a tad less volume, as I heard it in my house, too.
There is a group of IREA members who are talking back to the board and the president.

also, are you familiar with Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary in Deer Trail?

I hadn't heard about that in Deer Trail, I would definitely be interested in some info. My husband grew up out here and I have been here for about 4 years.

I do belong to IREAvoices even though I am not on grid anymore. I could totally relate to the caroling thing if I lived in town. I only have to see their right wing religious crap a few times a month. I have nothing against it in principle, just stop force feeding.

Denver area folks: Highlands Ranch (yes, don't laugh) is having s drum circle, family friendly, so get buzzed later, or before.
May 25 (Sunday) at Civic Green Park, which is behind the Tattered Cover.
It is also next door to the library, which is 9292 Ridgeline Dr.

    can anyone make it:?

3-5 pm. bring water and sunscreen.
It's at the amphitheatre and fountains.
Oh, Civic green, because of the bowl for the concerts, does not allow dogs.
They are cool in all other HR parks.

I'm in the Aurora/Centennial area for now ... graduated high school last year and head off somewhere (in colorado) for college in january. I'm accepted a few different places, just gotta make the decision.

anyway, everybody I know, for the most part, has left for college already and I'm stuck back here. it's kinda lonely.
