I am from Georgia where he was born and was Gov, my family is from GA, i know a little about Mr Carter. Thank you.

He was also an extremely weak president.

We have a president now who attended what, Yale and Harvard, who i think most will agree is also a moron. He may be a smart guy in some fields, running a nation in my opinion was not one of them.

He is meddlesome in the present day.

I have an opinion on pol pot and adolf hitler as well, 2 people in which i was not alive to personally experience their reign.

I was in Alabama at the time. In real time.

Carter did have to take out the trash of past administrations. That was his undoing.

No president in modern times has ever told Washington what to do.

Not only the trash of previous presidents but he had to deal with the back scene finaglings of future presidents, those of Reagan and friends that undermined his negotiations and authority with the Iranians.

The minute Ronald Reagan was being sworn in those hostages were on a plane heading home. The Iranians new President Reagan wouldn't pussyfoot
around like the weak President Carter did.

I seem to remember President Clint really working to bring the contending parties to an agreement during his last months in office in 2000.

Clint had helped to bring peace to Ulster, and sought to use this momentum to Bring Israel and Palestine to an understanding.

The statement is an insult to President Clint's efforts to be an honest peace broker. The deal was Land for Peace. The Palestinians walked out of the conference. Depriving Clint of a Nobel Peace Prize.

The intransigence of Yasar Arafat was one of the factors that led Bush to chose dis-engagement during 2001.

President Carters's undoing was a lil more complex.
Yeah The Helsinki accords were negotiated previoulsy, What prompted The Soviets to invade Afganiatan?
Why did Cuba send an army to Angola and to the island of Grenada?
Mr. Carter did not look very together in these circumstances.

The 1979 Oil / gasoline crisis was a big hit to Carters presidency.

You need to learn about the Iran Contra scandal. Ronald Reagan sold Iran arms. The hostages weren't released because Reagan was macho, shit the man had Alzheimers it was in response to a bribe of arms illegally sold and supplied to Iran. Something Carter wouldn't sink to doing. And those sales were promised prior to Reagan's election.

I can't remember one thing Clinton did that makes me proud that he was president. Honest peace broker...that's funny.
