Kilgore Trout--Are you an intellecutal midget? Is anyone on this website have a clue to what is going on, besides what moveon.org or Michael Moore state in their rantings? You say that the Bush Administration is...well, how about going to the source: http://www.healthyforests.gov/

I have been reading the posts on this page, and I don't want to sound insensitive, but all of you are intellecutally lazy. No one bothers to read facts or valid information; it appears, however, to me at least, that all of you choose to be blinded by Leftist ideology. And your ideology acts as a mental straitjacket. It blinds adherents to reality, breeds fanaticism, and rationalizes dishonesty. It makes smart people stupid. Ideology provides a way for lazy people to respond to issues, ideas, people, and events without thinking. In the final analysis, you all aren't necessarily rigorous thinkers. You hate Bush so much that it clouds everything you do, say or think. You are all intellectual morons. And I say this with all the sensitivity I can muster, because I do want to be PC.

I'd just like some proof because I know I'm not a moron. Also, being lazy is not bad.
I'm also just curious as to why you feel you need to call others names. Does this get us anywhere? I don't see it furthering anyone's knowledge so what's the use of it? just makes me feel like you like to complain about other people, but do not care to help.

The policies enacted by Bush concerning the environment have exacted an outcry from environmental groups all over the world... He wouldn't sign the kyoto protocol. He was the only major world leader to not attend the World Summit in Johannesburg (instructing his representative to ensure any reference to climate change policy would not make it to the events all-important final document. As a result, the chance to legally bind major polluters to emissions targets and strategies was lost). On top of that, Bush has requested a revision of the US scientific stance be revised, when he hasn't even read the original 268 page document the EPA produced (Ari Fleisher has confirmed that little fact).

Bush's positition on most of these environmental concerns is "It's too damaging for our economy."

    That, imo, is unacceptable.

The White House as a reliable source?! Sorry, but they've long since lost any credibility with the American people. Liars, top to bottom.

Actually, I am a teacher with a Master's degree, who reads and studies incessantly. My parents both hold advanced degrees. Dad has two PhDs. My sister already holds two degrees and is currently in law school, well on her way to becoming an environmental policy maker in Washington.

Intellectually lazy? I wouldn't know how to be lazy if I tried.

I continue to be baffled at how anyone with the capacity for abstract thought could possibly see anything good about the republicans, especially that pea-brain GW.

    In short...you sir...
    ARE A TOOL!!!

Forests are kept healthy by fires, they renew and allow for new growth. Is this your best intellectual arguement? Anyway, I say drown the mind in the heart. I can feel when someone is lying to me.
