good luck,,when sister difference passed on it was only 850 bucks and after a year and a half family still owed 75 bucks on her and her land lord paid that..

oh BTW,,we still have her ashes here if someone wants to come get them and spread them in ocala like she wished.. 3 years late...

also, the funeral home where difference was cremated held her ashes all that time because they were asked, will where little hawk is not show a little patience if requested?
we are broke so we cant contribute.. like i said.. good luck..

What will ACamp do for their beer money scam now that they can't say,
"We gotta bail out Little Hawk."? Time willl tell.
    <S> "

Seriously, folks, I'm quite certain there are legitimate funeral expenses. I'm not accusing CW of running a scam. But bailing out Little Hawk's ashes will probably be worth a keg or two.

What do you mean by only having a few more days? I'm sure different states have different laws on this, but, Mr Mountain William, how long did it take to pay Difference's final expenses? I'm not certain my father's funeral bill was ever paid off, but the ashes are still at the mortuary. I'd be surprised to learn that if the bill isn't paid by a certain time, they flush him down the toilet.

it was a year and a half they were there.
as i said i believe wing made arrangements for them to sit there till they were paid in full,i know the funeral home kept track and all one had to do was call said funeral home and they would tell you the exact amount left on her bill.
but no i dont think they just throw them out,,well with the exception of ray brent marsh..but he didnt even bother cremating them before he threw them out..lol

btw,,2 grand does seem steep for a simple cremation...

    WAITTA MINUTE?

call me anal,,wasnt little hawk a veteran?? wasnt that part of who he was? seems like everytime he got sick someone had to get him to a V.A. hospital??so what happened to his death benefits?? i mean they aint much but they would cover a simple cremation..

i mean has anyone even bothered checking into it?? or has his military service been erased from there record books?

These states have different laws that cause different funeral expenses.

Of course, I don't know shit about this, or maybe that is what I know.

BTW, I'm pretty sure a funeral parlor can't lawfully flush what was you down the toilet.

yeah,,if he was discharged honorably the government pays 100% of his burial expenses,,right down to the headstone if he is buried in a national cemetery..
if not they provide a allowance amount to have him buried elsewhere, but they will still provide the headstone as well, they even have a plan for indigent and unclaimed veterans...so his cremation should be covered by the government..

    http://www.cem.va.gov/cem/bbene_burial.asp

i would say someone should look into that...;)

also,,was he on SSI? if so,thats another 6 hundred or so dollars right there,,not that it would be needed being he was a veteran...

sounds like all the problems about his ashes are solved to me,,just a matter of someone doing a little paperwork..

    thats good news huh?? :)

I agree, but even being held pending payment seems a bit fucked to me! Just so everyone knows, I refuse to be buried or cooked in a crematorium! When I die I will be burned on a pyre in the woods, & then a tree planted where I burned. I REFUSE to spend eternity in a box, so I won't be buried or burned in one! The tree will make a much better headstone than stone ever could; It's good for the environment & looks prettier too....:biggrinjester:

    Hi everyone,
I wish I had some cash to help. I am also surprised that anyone thinks A- camp is just trying to get beer money. So many loved little Hawk, I will call Doc and see if he has any ideas. Peace and Love, Geni

I am Becky Little Hawks real sister. I am disabled and live on SSDI. Our Mother is 75 and lives on her Social Security in Senior Housing . We all plan on send in some money too. But we don't have a lot. Little Hawk, Jeff lived his life with his Rainbow Family. He loved them and always went to help when needed. Yes he could be an ass, he would even tell you that. He also had a deep wisdom that most people never acquire. So give from your heart. Little Hawk gave his heart to you.

We appeciate every cent. We love you all, and I hope to come to Shawnee for his memorial service. I am thankful for all Seth is doing. If you have any question call him. He was Little Hawks last contact.

If you need info from his real family, call Becky in South Carolina 843-532-9540

    Please Take Care!

Everybody hear that? And if you want Sanity's comment in context, here's the link to the thread on AGR http://groups.google.com/group/alt.gathering.rainbow/browse_thread/thread/701f1385b8f1c61a?hl=en#

And come on, now...IF IF IF IF IF IF someone was running "let's bail Little Hawk's ashes out of jail", would he really be that upset? Or would he enjoy the booze, and have a good laugh?

Back in 2005 i got to know little hawk during seed camp at ocala. He was a colorfull person, who showed my family respect. One morning around 7:00 he convinced my son to wake up spidermonkey and gus up playing revalee. there was alot of wisdom in that man when he was halfway sober, but when he was drunk...my wife always had a soda for him in the morning and he really liked that.
