    Agreed half.com
    or amazon

I usually place orders with both sites to get the best deals

or buy them students who have already taken the class, you can do this easily in several ways: you can use facebook, search the class and message ppl; you can look for flyers and all that jazz; or you can get students as they are selling their books back, I would always rather sell to another student than barnes and noble

yeah, facebook marketplace come time for semesters to end/begin is normally overloaded with people tryin' to get rid of their books, and b/c they're people normally within your own network (ie: college/university) it's easy to haggle

I think I know what site you are talking about. It actually COMPARES prices. A professor mentioned it once, but I never used it. Would like to see it though...

Another idea that I just had, which may or maynot work, google shopping, they'll show you only stuff within your range from all websites. I use it quite a bit not ever with books, I dont think. Its worth a shot though

Another good place to check for textbooks is Ebay. I've found many books at 25% of the cover price or less. Sure you have to wait about a week to get the book, but I've saved loads of money there.

You can also look at used book sites if the textbooks you need are not extremely new (not the latest edition).

    AbeBooks and such work.

They are all insanely expensive. If you can, get the exact numbers and buy them online.
